I just found out th U S is still involved in the sending of food to afganistan. why are we sending food to the country that hides the people who target us for destruction? what the hell do politicions think or do they..........

We are sending food to the innocent civilians of Afghanistan. The food is not being given to the Taliban, which we are against. It is my understanding that the food is not even being given to civilians in Taliban controlled areas. We are doing the right thing, trust me.

Seriously though, I hope they've figured a way to keep the food in the refugee camps and out of the hands of the Taliban. I would hate to think that the Taliban goatfucks fighting our guys and/or allies in the hills might be getting their energy from wheat grown in Kansas.

Personally I don't believe in government sponsored charity - that is not the proper function of government. I don't have a problem with giving food to starving people, I just think it is properly a private function.

STG, I'm with you to a point about Government sponsored charity, BUT, I would prefer that the U.S. feed their OWN people before other countries people. Food aid flights are leaving the UK at this very moment and not a moment to soon. The Afghani refugees currently in camps on the borders of Pakistan have had more than a rough ride through the last couple of decades. September 11th had nothing to do these people and they shouldnt have to be held accountable for it.
