Crush on someone, and this someone is online (in another country) so I wondered what would you do to keep their interest?

You see there's someone here on lit that I really like a lot, I'd do whatever it takes to be with her, but first I've got to make her believe that I'm the genuine article.

Any tips?

Carl

why dont you get someone to pass a note - something like my friend likes you -

I think you probably need to get out more !!

Just send her pm's with general chatter to start... then say complimentory 'nice' things about her....

Don't add the "wanna fuck" part for a while, lol

Best of luck :rose:

Like TH so wisely said, be your nice normal self. PM her and wish her a good day, tell her you've noticed her on the boards and have enjoyed her presence.

You'll be fine.

:)

You can only achieve that after numerous face to face meetings and the mutual introduction of your respective friends. Otherwise the best you can hope for is "He doesn't sound like a postal worker on catalogue day".

Geez, Dix. I didn't honestly mean that I shoot you and kill you when I had to say "Sorry, guy, but I'm going to have shoot you down here" when you promised your undying love and devotion right after we got the PM feature.

No, wait...

Sorry, fantasy life gets Muffie in trouble once again. Don't I just feel embarrassed.

Don't know if this'll be any help..... I've been on Lit 14 months now and I just recently found what I hope is my true soulmate.... Although we live about 100+ miles away from eachother, we so far have seemed to hit it off........ more so than I could have ever hoped to imagine.

I'll say this though, we have started off as becoming friends, and have yet to meet, yet I feel that when we do meet finally, we will become even better friends than we could have ever imagined possible.

Be yourself, be patient........ be a friend!

I love you kitten!

Or you'll find out that she's a 55 year old man on parole who's hoping you won't "judge".

Actually Dixon, she's in her forties and a very nice lady. I won't embarrass her by mentioning her name, but I will say I'd be the lucky one if we ever got together. You might be right, it's more than possible that nothing will ever come of it, but I'm going to try anyway.

I'm an optimist, I've always believed there's someone out there for everyone, so I see no reason why that someone can't be found online. If she gives me the chance, I'll show her that some men are worth fighting for.

Carl

I'm not saying nothing will come of it, or that it's likely nothing will come of it. There are married people in the world who met on line right here on Lit. It happens. It can happen.

I just would avoid using words like "love" and "know" when applying them to people you've only corresponded with, or talked on the phone with, or exchanged your most flattering photos with. I think meeting her (in a public place) is an excellent idea. Take it from there. That's where the real relationship will begin.

Best wishes. Good luck.

Yes, you do.....oops.

Oh, my.

Be patient....be you. And never change, please? You are my inspiration, and though I fight the belief that love can be bigger than geography, sometimes words from you give me pause, all over again. :rose:

The alternative spelling of the word cynic is dixoncarterlee!

Mind you it can also be used as an alternate spelling for realist!

A single day spent with you Intrigued, would be a life well spent. I couldn't think of a single thing I'd rather do, than just meeting you and hearing your sweet voice and staring into those big beautiful eyes of yours. You are and ever shall be an inspiration to me, someone I simply have to meet.

Carl, you are so sweet, and as I have said to you before, geography bites hard. :(
I am very touched, but you know how I feel, so all I can say is that you are a beautiful man, and regardless of whether or not its me, some lady is going to be so very blessed to hold your heart. You are a rare gem...
Don't ever stop believing, because if you do, what is left?

Thank you very much, dear. :rose:
