Female condoms have been around for several years now, I think the most common brand name is Reality (?). I would actually say they are not that great for oral sex, because they don't cover everything. The ring at the open end is too floppy to stay in place properly, whereas dental dams (or cut-open condoms WITHOUT nonoxynol-9) can be clipped in place with those little dental dam belts.

I should note that my only experience with actually using a female condom, though, was when we inserted the bulb end of the Hitachi Magic Wand into me. We didn't want it to get icky, of course, and a regular condom wouldn't fit, but the female condom worked fine even if it was a little tight.

Female condoms are extreamly odd things which are flimsy and cumbersome... if youve never seen one, its basicly a flimsy latex cup \_/ that you stuff up into the female. the circlular ring at the bottemof the cup creates a 'seal' aorund the oz, so that sperm can not get through. Though it is flexible the only thing keeping the entire thing in the women is a rubber ring, and there is very little keeping it outside of the women other than a nother slightly larger ring. asides, female condoms are only made to stop males sperm from imprgnating them. they have little use outside of male-female sex.
