I Have a Serious Confession to Make

Disco Inferno

The Trammps

Burn LAVY burn! Burn LAVY burn! Burn LAVY burn! Burn LAVY burn!
Burnin'!

To mass fires, yes! One hundred stories high
People gettin' loose y?all gettin' down on the roof - Do you hear?
(the folks are flaming)Folks were screamin' - out of control
It was so entertainin' - when the boogie started to explode
I heard somebody say

Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burnin'!

Satisfaction (uhu hu hu) came in the chain reaction
(burnin') I couldn't get enough, (till I had to self-destroy)so I had to
self destruct, (uhu hu hu)
The heat was on (burnin?), rising to the top, huh!
Everybody's goin' strong (uhu hu hu)
And that is when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say

Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down, yoh!
Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burnin'!

Up above my head I hear music in the air - I hear music!
That makes me know there's (somebody)a promise somewhere

Satisfaction came in a chain reaction - Do you hear?
I couldn't get enough, so I had to self destruct,
The heat was on, rising to the top
Everybody's goin' strong
That is when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say

Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno! (Aah yeah!)
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno, yeah!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down x2 Burnin?!

MUSIC TURN AROUND (12 bars)

I just can't stop
When(till) my spark gets hot
Just can't stop
When my spark gets hot

MUSIC TURN AROUND (24 bars)

Burning, burning, burning, burning 6X (24 bars)

I have but one question.

Have you had any professional help yet ?

only teasing you, I like Captain Kangroo too No comment on the disco tho'

If Dillinger won't keep up posting the tunes, we my be in need of a 'flaming pussy' or two to get him really burnin em for us.

If the Master F-Boi where here, it would be officially easi to become funkytowned into erotic bliss.

Will you ring my bell, lavender?

This is serious! Disco and Captain Kangeroo!

Well, not much to be done about it, except put on some BeeGee's and watch the old dear on Saturday morning!

As a child I hated it. In high school I hated it.

Forced by my parents to attend Mass every Sunday until I was 18, whenever we said "Amen" I added, "Disco sucks."

I like it all now though! :)

I like disco.

Oh my god, so do I, this means something I'm sure. It means we're individuals that like disco, what a revelation. lol

But seriously, there's nothing wrong in liking good foot tapping music is there. {Looking down at the floor and backing out}

Captain Kangaroo I can understand. My mom herself had a crush on the Dancing Bear.

Disco on the other hand, there is no excuse for. I am highly disturbed by this comment.

Over the past year or so I've been picking up on Disco too (but no Captain Kangaroo). Not a day goes by when I don't listen to the Village People, Gloria Gaynor, and/or Donna Summer just to name a few.

I know someone out there still has a leisure suit in their closet.
C'mon, don't bullshit me!

though the disco era gave us studio 54...and thus i need to build my time machine so i may stand out in the cold and not get let in..

Lavender, my image of you is totally shattered. I am crushed.... my idol has feet of clay... :(

Disco...*ack*

As for Captain Kangaroo I wouldn't have the first clue who he is... but he sounds strangely Australian which makes the dude dodgy from the start...;) :D

i like some disco, unfortunately because of the show on vh1 about one hit wonders achy breaky heart is stuck in my head.

First, I love Captian Kangaroo. And Mister Greenjeans. And Grandfather Clock, Bunny Rabbit, Mister Moose...

But Disco?

In the mid to late 70s I was on the Ski Patrol in Northern Maine. They played music on the slopes all day and all night. When Staying Alive came out, it is all they played. I must have heard it a hundred times a day, every day.

I still admire you Lavy...
