Don't take it personally. They've not blocked you, they simply set their settings a certain way.

For instance, they could be set where no one sees or set where only the people following them see.

You could search for them to look at their posts, if that interests you.

You're right, I could search for them. It just seems weird to me. It seems like if you expect to be able to follow someone, you should afford them the same privilege.
