Some of the overused situations and stock treatments mentioned make me wonder. How erotic would a story be with an impotent, middle aged guy ignoring his frigid wife?

Many of the things these readers complain about are the same things they demand in an erotic story.

You mean my high school teacher was right? That cliches are mostly boring?

What am I going to do with my latest protagonist and his rock hard nine inch battering ram of a penis?

How am I going to deal with female characters who don't have enormous, gravity-defying breasts with perfect, inch-long, perpetually erect nipples?

I wonder how hard it would be to write a quality story in which every sentence is a cliche?
