It so is! My first two series I started I did not finish, and I have a few one-offs, but to finish a series that took a year. Feels great, although anxious for reactions to it. Will this conclusion satisfy people?
I remember writing the final chapter of "The Rivals". It took months to get it right, but when it was done, the feeling was amazing.
I am. I had the ending epilogue from the beginning, so that was easy. How to end the actual story though, I had a general idea (Izzy goes to the office party and finds out who was behind the programming) but how to execute that and make it fun, sexy, and satisfying was sooo difficult. I liked it though.

Congratulations. I'm hoping to experience the same. I'm 2 years and 17 chapters into my series with at least three more installments. Trouble is, my brain keeps concocting additional chapters.
I'm in awe of those longer series. I have no idea how I could possibly do it. I have a fixed end in site when I started, heck this 7 part series I finished I originally thought 9 parts, but had to cut it back.
It's been a challenge. I know where it ends and how it gets there. The problem is that while I'm writing, more episodes form and I start scribbling notes. Luckily, I discarded one that would have been between the two most recent parts (one posted, the other will hit tomorrow). There will be no time traveling!
