Accidently posted a multiple part story as a single story rather than a series. What do I do now?

I posted my story as a single story rather than a series thinking I'll be able to add more chapters later (I'm still a newbie writer on here). Now that I'm ready to post more of the story I realized I should've used the series option? What do I do now? Do I repost my story using the series option? Do I send an edit with the 2nd chapter added on? Help! I'm struggling to use literotica!

If you add more chapters, they'll turn it into a series for you.

You can also leave a comment to let the readers know that it was just chapter one. And hopefully you won't get comments asking what happened to the rest of the story.

There are a couple of ways to do this.

The first is the old way. If you have named your story "My Sexy Story Ch 1" already, then just submit chapter 2 and title it "My Sexy Story Ch 2" and the site will automatically turn the two stories into a series. Later you can add Ch 3, Ch 4, etc. If you have more than 9 chapters, I'm not sure if you will need to number them "01", "02", etc or not. Someone else I'm sure can answer that.

The other way is to use the newer series feature. I've never used it but I believe that you just create new series and then add each story into the order you want. No chapter numbers are necessary. Again, I'm sure someone else here can easily confirm if I'm correct or if I'm missing any details.

This also works if you haven't numbered the first chapter.

Yes, if you plan more than ten chapters, the second chapter must be Ch.02. If you plan more than one-hundred chapters (please don't), it must be Ch.002.

Yes, the series function allows you to collect disconnected story titles together. It's handy like that - I've clustered my Emma and Bobby stories using it, as well as my Ruby stories.

@EllieB201 the easiest thing for you to do is submit your second chapter with the same Story Title Ch.02. The system will join it up to Story Title automatically.

But bear in mind that the new chapter has to be approved. That can take a while (it can even take a couple of months if you forget to actually submit the damn thing, grrr!).

A third option is to give your further chapters related titles. This brings in readers who would otherwise skip anything numbered "chapter 2" and beyond if they haven't read the first chapter. I have a series with instalments called "Flesh for Fantasy", "Flesh for Another Fantasy", "Flesh for a Third Fantasy" and "Flesh 4 Fantasy", and another with the titles "Too Cold Not to Fuck", "Too Hot Not to Fuck", "A Fool Not to Fuck" and so on.
