I did it!!

The itchiness WILL go away, or lessen at least, after you've done it a few times. Until then, keep doing what your'e doing.. whatever makes it feel better.

try magic......smooth............better than shaving if you can use it. Do a search and read about it. lol:D

...

I have heard that baby oil helps but from what i have fount it is just for a short period also

I have some gel called "Bikini Zone" which kept me sane after the first couple times I shaved. I'm now investigating this Magic stuff I hear so much about, but as long as you're on the razor, this stuff is pretty nice.

Congrats on a successful shave! It's lovely, isn't it?

ive shaved down there maybe its a guy thing but ive never had an itch afterwards...

Though it might also be that i shave in the shower...

After many days of contemplation, I finally decided to shave. I love the feel and the sexy look, but how does one get used to the itchiness? So far, powder and creams help for small amounts of time, but I have to repeat. Will it get better with time? I'm open for suggestions.... :p

I've been trimming my pubic hairs since 14 and shaving since about 17, and I don't remember there having been itchiness. Perhaps since it's been 7 years now since I first shaved I just don't remember? I guess that also proves what others said, too, then. It goes away over time. lol

baby oil is the most common used cure. just always put it on after covering the skin with a warm cloth or after a shower or bath. just rubbing it into dry skin doesnt do anything except make you slippery lol. also...ive gotta say...waxing is way better! its still hard to find a place where they will shave everything off. but i get my bikini line done very far in leaving a very small line and she does right to my lips. all i have to shave is a little bit here and there to get the desired look. and i found when it grew back it didnt itch at all! and it itches everytime i shave no matter that ive been shaving for years now.

dont worry its just like shaving any other spot on your body the first time, the skin is irratated it will pass

If you can stand the pain by all means wax. Pop an aspirin first. Shaving irritates the skin because you are literally removing the top layers of cells, along with the hairs. Also if you don't use a fresh razor, there are miniscule jagged edges in the metal from prior shavings. Using an old razor is usually a major cause of ingrown hairs, if you get them. I've shaved for years and it always itched, I never got used to it. Waxing grows back slower, doesn't itch, and doesn't tend to give ingrowns.. better all around!

Boo@ so many girls shaving...some times a nice hairy bush is welcome!

It's all a matter of preference!

However, if your man prefers one thing and you like it too, go for it! ;)

I, too, prefer there to be hair down there, but trimming does make oral a little easier, does anyone agree? For those who must shave, a little advice that I read in my shaving days was that one ought to shave *with* the grain (or so to speak) for less irritation.

re: shaving

I have shaved for many years, I guess it's just habit now. The men I have been with love it. I am currently in a relationship with another woman and she could care less, but I still do it. I think she likes it too and just won't tell me so. Personally, I appreciate little no hair on my girls. I can deal with fine but it does make oral sex much easier.

waxing??

I have been wondering about waxing. Is it really that painful?? I like the bare feeling and the sensitivity it gives me for oral. Hate to have to shave every other day tho.
