....contacts. I did not have major problems with my glasses - which I have worn for about ten years now - but it was those small annyoing things that come along with glasses. For example not being able to enjoy sun-glasses.

Anyways, I DID manage to get some extra cash (I worked hard for it) and I decided to give contacts a try.
And I must say, I'm glad I did it. So far (wearing them for a week now) I had no real rpoblems and got used to the strange feeling very quickly. And it's really a major improvement to your life. It's great and can recommend trying contacts to anyone who might be slightly offended by their glasses.

So, that was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Snoopy, just thought I'd share.

Happy for you, Snoop :)

My eyes watered all day long for weeks after I got contacts, but I'm stubborn and just kept sticking them in. :D I love them now.

Snoopeeee

(we thought you was lost)

You could have gone for the reactolite alternative (photosensitive).

I think you're just vain about your devastatingly good looks.

Just don't go overboard like my youngest daughter. She has cat's eyes for parties; bloodshot eyes for the morning after, and decides each morning what colour eyes to wear.

Her husband works in an Eye Hospital doing post Ph.D research so she gets a discount and tries out new 'funky' stuff as she calls it.

The frustrating contacts are the ones that give red-eye no matter what your camera does.

I have contacts too. I love mine :) They are the soft kind and so it doesn't bother my eyes. The best part is being able to see without the obsticle of wearing glasses. My face feels like it can breath and I love it.

I'm glad you are happy with your decision. If your eyes do feel dry remember to use rewetting drops.

*hugs*
moonlight, happy you shared :)

When I got contacts (so very long ago), it was a total trip to walk around with them for the first time . . . not needing to turn my head as much to look at stuff . . . the consistent clarity . . . just remember to NEVER leave them to rinse in water instead of saline overnight . . . learned THAT one the hard way.

I am an ex-contact person. The wonders of science and surgery have now given me near perfect eyesight. I can now see the clock in the morning.....unless hung over of course....

I did that last year - the surgery, not the hangover. My first morning waking up, I opened my eyes to see the hanging ivy plant in my bedroom...it had LEAVES instead of just being this big green blob. LASIK was the best thing I ever did for myself.

WoooooooHoooooooooo

Now I don't have to worry about your glasses fogging up when I

SMOOOOOOOOOOCH ya

I'd like to do that one day myself but until then contacts are more than okay. I love mine. The first time I had them on, I was like WOW. Moonie and Evil gave good advice about contact lens care.

I'm happy for you.

Way to go guy.

Hey Snoop,

Way to go with the lenses. I've been wearing them since 1983 and love the damned things. A couple of hints though. If you are into sprots and can afford it get a second set of lenses. Also try not to sleep with them in if you can help it. (Yes I know they say you can do so. After a while though you can get Protein build up on the lenses and leaving them in with these on them can cause you some problems.)

Isn't it amazing being able to see without having to keep pushing your glasses up?

Wow, you wanna make me blush? Hell, even a blushing Snoopy looks better than a blushing Snoopy with glasses, lol.

Yeah, I heard about those freaky lenses. So far I have not had the intention to try them. But a year ago I never had the intention of sticking something in my eye on purpose, lol.

Soft kind lenses rule ! Yep, those obstacles have gone. And let's face it, life without glasses make your eyes look eve more beautiful I guess.

Yeah, I've heard that normal water is just for absolute emergencies. And I was told if I had to use water, I should use bottled water if possible, never water from the sink.

Yeah, I know I must take them out for sleep. But what if I fall asleep during the day for let's say two or three hours? Will that do any damage???

Wow, I think I just was on a reply-spree.
