The snow just keeps coming down, and I am getting more and more depressed. I am about to go shovel my driveway for the third time since yesterday morning. I will probably have to shovel it again when I get home from work. It's gonna be a bad day, I feel it already.

Born here, raised here, been here all my life. My job is here. I don't KNOW anywhere else. My family is here. I've been thinking lately though, that when my parents pass on, I am outta here.

Haven't really been touched by Winter yet

Very odd, only one day has not climbed above freezing. Very unusual.

One thing we did this year was to create a sun room. A spare room in the former garage equiped with A couple of big grow lights, heaters (to take it warmer than the rest of the house, dehumidifier and our tanning bed.

We moved the outdoor houseplants in along with some of the indoor plants, and now we have a sunny spot to retreat to where flowers bloom, etc.

Sure helps keep the spirits up when evening comes at 4:30 in the afternoon.

We've Been Lucky Too

Well STP even though its the Great White North we've only had about three storms so far. But today is just snowing enough so you can't see the end of the driveway.

But on the good side, my son now shovels the driveway (with a little monetary bribery from his grandfather) so I can enjoy the warmth inside while he works his butt off outside, learning those life lessons.

In fact, lots of snow gives me more time to play as he's not inside hogging the computer or the phone.

Guess that's why Santa brought him a new snowboard, snowtube and paintball gun. Lots of outside stuff.

Yes, he's at the fun age now. Semi-independent but not teenage, so still able to communicate with us.

Humm, send him down there so we can play on line? I'm thinking we might want to reverse that idea. Playing in person is much more fun. Or that's what they tell me.

I am thankful that the temperature has finally dropped down to winter level here in NYC. However, I'm still hoping to see a few snowflakes before the end of the year! (I'd ask for some to be sent STP, but it doesn't travel too well.)
