I’m leaving

Share Em? We're not supposed to be titillated this way in the forum area... are we?

Bad Wanda. No biscuit.
My sharing days (well not strictly sharing, group sex let’s say) are long gone. Like four years long gone.

Em

I’m pretty cute and cuddly, hun. Unless you are rape apologist that is.

Em
I don't apologize to and for rapists. Rapists deserve a few kicks in the balls, a couple lashes with a salted bullwhip and a slow, deliberate acid bath for dessert. That'll teach them how to treat a lady. And probably leave a right mess on the tiles.

Nobody at the Literotica Author's Hangout, from what I have seen, apologizes for rapists, or deserves to be accused of apologizing for rape. It's a red herring argument, to the extent anyone genuinely makes it. I have seen no comments or evidence from anybody in this forum that people think rape is OK or acceptable, or from which one could plausibly infer that authors here secretly harbor genuine desires to rape people, or to be raped, in the real world. To speculate from people's comments that they want this is just that: 100% speculation.

The divide, if you can call it that, in this forum, is not between those who condemn rape and those who apologize for it; it is between people, like me, who maintain a clear distinction between fantasy and reality, and those who don't. I maintain that the moral standards for reality do not apply to erotic fiction. You should, IMO, feel free, without guilt, to read and write stories about people doing things that in the real world you would never want anyone to do. Some disagree with that principle. They're entitled to their opinion, but it's facile and fact-free to characterize the attitude of someone who favors liberal standards in accepting nonconsent fantasy stories as one of "rape apology." That's just refusing to think hard about the subject.

Just for this, I'm putting @EmilyMiller on IGNORE.

Then, I'll do a search on her username every day and click on every message she posts, just to make sure that I'm not missing anything that I want to ignore. And then I'll address the posters who respond to her ignored messsages, pretending not to be aware of what it is that she posted.

It's the civilized thing to do.

A saying comes to mind here… “beating a dead horse.”

Fair point, except the dead horse keeps rising from the grave like a zombie.
I’ve noticed this is a rather immature tendency of people in the forum, and the best thing to do in said instance is to overlook it entirely. Some people thrive on that sort of energy as much as they do arguing.

The only thing you’ll do by entertaining it is irritate yourself… if you’re sound with your stance there’s no need to even acknowledge the topic any further, and I’m certain very many mature minded individuals among us won’t look at you with any sort of animosity on the basis of your opinion. 😌

Em sure attracts some people I have never seen post on AH before. That must be some butt ;)

If we're going to do The Sound of Music, let's do it right. It struck me recently how many artistic liberties the movie took. Maria actually married him in 1927, eleven years before the Austrian Anschluss. All of the children were fictionalized (sorry, there was no one named Liesel). They were a combination of kids he had with his first wife and some they had together. They did leave because of the Nazis, but they took a train to Italy. It's kind of hard to hike out of Salzburg because it's nowhere near the Swiss border.

Thus most of the stuff about the Nazis was made up. (There was no Rolfe, either.) The bit with the nuns disabling the the Nazi cars was pretty funny. Did they have shop classes in the convent? The video can be seen by clicking on the YouTube link.

I don't agree with that at all. If people are expressing a viewpoint you disagree with, it's fair to speak out against it. It may seem like shouting against the wind sometimes, but the reality is there are probably some people who don't have their minds made up, and if you let the other side have its say without having your own say then you give up the field of ideological battle to them. This forum, over the years, has gotten more and more kink-judgmental, a trend I deplore, and as long as people keep trying to move things in that direction, I'm going to speak out against it. Both Emily and Tilan have expressed the view, in the last couple of days, that the site should just get rid of the Interracial and Nonconsent categories, and aside from the fact that this is obviously never going to happen, it's a terrible idea. I'm going to say so as long as some people advocate the idea.

And to be clear, I don't irritate myself by engaging in a debate, and I don't really care if others "look at me with any sort of animosity on the basis of my opinion," because if they do, that speaks poorly for them and it's not my problem.

Well, in this case… carry on fighting the good fight, sir. 🫡
