How many people that read Lit have ever acually experimented with hypnotist?

I have used it on my friends a few times and have gotten... more then satisfactory replys afterwards. I just want to know because, from what I can tell, many people on this site have a VERY open mind. But nobody believes in Hypnotism, and the powers your mind could get from it... Like, being able to hold in an orgasm for hours, and when it happens, having it happen for over two minutes, or longer.

I gave succesfully employed the progressive relaxation method. I have used several scripts, most effective being the descending staircasr. Suggested triggers for orgasm control have been effective as well as post trance behaviour and speech restriction.

NOTE: More recently I have found a free flowing improvised and tailored induction works better than a set script.

I know that it is probably a foolish thing to do, but I don't exactly use the methods that are most used. I do what feels right at the time.

I'm not exactly one to follow a script... I could never be an actor

I've never done that... Of course, all of the people that I've put under have had familys around all the time so doing it would have been rather embarrasing and could have gotten them in trouble. I have had trigger words that make them extremely aggressive or some that will make it seem like their having an orgasm everytime THEY say a specific word... It was rather interesting

Things like hypnosis are powers that really exist...I know about it, but I´m not able to perform it myself...according to my opinion such powers should not be used broadly and never, never to bring any advantage to yourself...

I see what you mean about it being used in moderation, but I believe that hypnotism is something that SHOULD be widespread. If people don't understand it then we can't embrace it and use it like it should be used. That includes the normal type of hypnotism and not just erotic.

I should mention that some people can't be hypnotized at all.

Hypnosis, like most things in life, has a dark side, I mean where exactly are we talking about this anyway, oh yeah a forum for sexual expression and literature. Who is actually going to be here looking for a hypnotist to cure their craving for niccotine? If they are don't come to me, I smoke lol

In truth the mind is complex and while it could be claimed that people would not do something against their will it is that factor of losing control that draws many to a hypnotist in the first place. Also I was not aware someone could be raped if they gave their consent, surely that would be entrapment?

While Joey3308 does show the basis for peoples misconception of hypnotists he also demonstrates exactly what a lot of people are actually looking for. An escape from reality in many cases, to experience a waking dream/fantasy, or simply feel how it is to be completely relaxed or totally aroused.

Discussion with a subject is essential, gettting to know what they really are asking for and the best way to lead them there. I know many women and men who have been approached by less scrupulous trancers, not really hypnotists just people seeking to use others. Bottom line is, men or women, if you want to avoid the users in life become self aware, learn to spot the delicate subtleties of a hypnotist on the prowl, if you feel yourself drifting in a chat take yourself away from the screen for 15 minutes or so, have some coffee or fresh air, if you think they were trying to act without your consent there is always an ignore feature in IM programs.

What I said was that there were wemon who would go to get problems fixed and this one guy would rape them when they were in their trance... This isn't possible unless the woman wants it to happen, or had fantasys about it happening.

As for what he put, that can pretty much acually be done... There is a bit more to it then that, but the basic ability of hypnotism is to fool the 5 senses.

Kinda like adding 'Jack the Ripper offered to show women puppies' then when he had their cinfidence he mutilated and killed them. The implication that Hypnosis formed the act that took place is pure conjecture, like dentists who used general anethesis or those who use the date rape drug, it is not inherant that the hypnotist actually worked upon any sense of hidden fantasy or desire to be raped but rather it was a means to reduce the womans resistance to his actions. Followed by an addition of hypnosis based memory blocking perhaps during the period of shock the victim no doubt suffered, or given the time period perhaps the shame was enough to make them suppress the memories themselves. Please also note I was not around then, nor were several generations of my family.

As for Joeys' comment, perhaps I worded my comment incorrectly, rather than 'miscinception' I should have said 'mistrust'. No need to preach to the preacher, thought I am sure many are not familiar with the whole proccess. The time involved varies, as you know, from subject to subject and indeed with triggers the whole induction process can be skipped entirely. Personally i find that less enjoyable but to each their own.

Well... Truthfully, I havn't been in school for the past week and I can barially understand what you had written to begin with.. Haha.

I am sure that hypnotism has given some sort of surreal feeling that a person loses complete control but that is acually a lie. A persons conciousness does weaken and their subconcious, or the "act don't think" part of their brain, gains control. It doesn't completely cut off the conciousness though because a person will break out of the trance if they feel that their trust has been misplaced.

If anyone has ever seen Mythbusters, they did a show on putting in post hypnotic suggestions without concent and the person immediatly woke up.

Several professionals have tried, but I've never been hypnotized. I've tried over the years without success.

I believe it, so I'm sure that everybody can... They just need different methods not yet invented.
