Samantha reached Phases cabin Silver not far behind and knocked on the door when it was awncered she went to the room she heard Phases voice and someone elses ignoring the other man who had awncered the door and looked at her as tho he wasnt sure if he should stop her or not.

Sam knocked on the other door and said.. Phase we have a problem let me in.. i have Silver with me..

Phase went to her office door and opened it for Sam letting her and Silver in.. she closed it behind them and walked back over to sit on the edge of her desk careful not to knock over the labtop.. Whats happened? she asked.

Samantha looked from Sam/ One to Phase the question in her eyes as to wether he was on there side this time or not, before she could ask if it was ok to speak infront of him Phase awncred her.. Yes speak freely hes with us..

Samanthat nodded and said. Wyn's dissapeared i searched the mess hall and her cabin while i was looking for her Silver heard me asking if anyone had seen her and told me he saw her fly away.. what do you want us to do..?

Phase looked down at the Labtop on her desk and then up at One Do you think she might have been worried for these two and went in search of them. She seemed happy here and like she was starting to open up some.. Samantha looked at both of them confused by the question because as far a she knew Wyn had been on her own when Phase had found her, but kept quiet.

Looking back at Samantha and Silver after checking the time she said.. Her trail will have grown cold by now especally if she took flight, we will start with where i found her in the morning.. I will choose some of our ppl to take with me and who will stay behind to guard the camp then.. One if you would accompany myself and choose among your own ppl as well as you know them better than i.. i would appreceate it.

Samantha nodded and motioned Silver out the door with her once they were out she told Silver to try and get some sleep because they wouldnt know until morning who was to stay and guard the camp and who was to go in search of Wyn.

Once they were gone, and Sam's one man left them alone as well.. Phase turned to Sam/One and said. [/I] I was thinking about that exam you were talking about.... and if anyone was capable of dealing with what ever that stuff was it would be you..... would you... ummm check me over ? I dont want to go into battle and become a liabilty rather than an asset..[/I]

Or she was taken by someone who could teleport Volt almost said out loud, he didn't want to get the guy down any more than he may be now that the trail was cold “i usually work best at night actually” he started pacing around the roof, sniffing for any scents he could follow, any kind of lead “i think I have something” he stopped walking about and looked over the edge of the building “its on the street down below, a scent I've come across twice before... well, I think it is anyway, its...” he stopped for a second as his stomach made a gurgling sound, a clear sign it was slowly digesting itself.

“um” he turned back to Felix with a rather embarrassed look on his face “do you have any more candy, or milk? My belly is making hungry noises”

"Damn." Samuel swore under his breath, appalled by the knowledge that Wyn was no longer at the camp. "Her safety is my paramount concern. I will certainly accompany you, and we had best hurry, there are still hunters in the city." As Silver and Samantha left, Samuel nodded at Bentley, who grabbed the laptop and left. But as Phase asked her question, Sam realized he would need hi
still, and mentally expressed his need to him. While they waited for him, Sam explained his plan. "Bentley's powers involve following and emitting electrical currents. This is primarily useful for working with machinery, but it also allows him to detect life and predict movement,. If the imposter left anything intended to control you like Nate was, he will find it. The only contingency it does not cover would be some kind of slow acting poison, which you show no symptoms of. Understand?"

Eli watched the subject squirm and shudder on the monitor. He wished he could keep his promise to let her enjoy the full 3 hours of agony but he couldn't, she still had preparation before she was field ready. He pressed a sequence of keys, releasing a gas into the room on the monitor, leaving the subject limp. He then spoke into the microphone in front of him.

"Doctors Farthing and Greiber, there is a subject prepped for standard communications uplink surgery in cell block 24-K." He continued to watch as the doctors entered the room with a gurney, and picked her up and strapped her to it. They used to perform surgery in a special room, until they had an "incident". Eli continued his work, periodically checking on the progress. When she woke, she would have a small microphone in her ear, allowing for communication with HQ. When they finished, Eli was impressed. There was little sign of the incision,and they were done almost 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Eli spoke into the mike again, "Please ensure the subject is properly restrained, and leave her for now."

Phase watched Sam's men leave the room and watched as he made his call. I understand.. you know i am not normally a coward , but would you stay with me just incase...? she asked trying to sound causual and unworried but unable to hid all of it.. what was this thing and what if anything could its sperm do..

there was a possablility they hadnt thought of if it couldnt take her over it could possably get her pregnant and what sort of baby would it be.. she was both horrified and curous at the prospect. She shivered for a moment as if she were cold and rubbed her arms.. umm Sam... if theres any chance i could be... umm pregnant .. what do you suggest ?... i mean we dont know what this thing is or could do...

Felix looked at the younger boy for a few moments, smiling softly as he thought about this. Well, at least it meant that as it got darker the chance that he'd be able to smell something got higher...as long as the scent wasn't being washed away by people wandering around. He let a long breath slip past his lips as he thought about this carefully. Would he really want to find the girl if she had run away like that? Would he really want to find her when he thought about the fact that people like Volt were around, people with powers that were meant to catch people like him...if she was one of those people who was just going out to get people like him and tag him for other people to catch or something...what would he do with that? He had thought that she might be trying to tag him at the very beginning, but then shook it off when she had shown him her powers...but maybe she really was part of the organization.

He was shook from his thinking when Volt spoke up again, his stomach growling. He smirked as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small bag that was half full of beef jerky, tossing it to the boy, "Here, take this. It'll probably be healthier for you than the candy." He smiled weakly at that, still trying to get his head around the situation that he was stuck in.

Samuel narrowed his eyes at Phase, whom he sat opposite of. His glare softned, however, when he saw not the hardned warrior he was acustomed to, but a fragile, insecure girl, whom he couldn't help but empathize with. He lay his hand on top of hers and looked dierectly into her eyes.

"Phase, never hesitate to call on me. We are two of a kind, you and I. If we don't support each other, how can we expect our brethren to do the same?" Besides..." he smiled, reminiscing earlier encounters. "I doubt there are two on the planet with a past as .... Deep as ours."

Phase couldnt help but chuckle at his words taking the comfort he offered with his hand on hers as she looked up at him and smiled.. you are aware of the contrediction in that statement are you not?.. but how true those words are.. we are at times the best of friends and others the worst of enemys but we are always there for the other when needed, and yes i do trust you with my life.... always have.. we just have differnt points of view sometimes..

As she looked up into his eyes she thought about kissing him and holding him but stoped herself wanting to make sure they would be safe she would wait until after she had been examaned and determand safe.. and not for the first time did she wonder how different things might have been between them had this war with the humans not started.. ahhh but that was something that could not be changed and so.. she tryed not to dwell on it long..

She also thought of Nate and wished that maybe they had gotten over there flurtasiousness sooner and hoped he hadnt been aware of what had happened.. To finnally have and hold someone and yet it not really be you would truly be terrable.. Phase shook herself mentally and asked.. So how long before this Bentley arrives ? I hate feeling nervous... she was going to say scared but changed it to nervous insted but she knew Sam understood, and she did feel a bit safer with him at her side.

Bentley listened at the door, and waited until the two seemed to be done talking. Samuels limited telepathic abilities were only able to convey base desires and emotions, so when he requested Bentley's presence without words, he couldn't be sure why.he only felt safe going in when the two were done talking, as his leader could be frightening when crossed.

"Uhh... boss? You wanted to see me?" Sam waved him in.

"Yes, Bentley, you are about to let in on some confidential information. It is on a need to know basis, so you are not to tell anyone. This information could..... alarm certain parties in the camp." Bentley caught his sideways glance at the figure across the table. "A young man at the camp has suffered some sort of.... affliction that caused him to seduce and attempt to murder the courageous girl. She has reported that his semen was black, and was apparantly alive. We require you to check to make sure that neither the seed or any other sign of this brute remain." Bentley nodded quickly and walked over to where Phase sat.

"I'll need you to lift your s-shirt up..." he stammered feeling both of their eyes on him, and intimadated by the attractive woman before him. Samuel reached across the table and found Phase's hand. He covered her hand and gave a gentle squeeze. He would never admit it, he had to remain strong, for her, but he was afraid too. He had lost many old friends, and even though Phase had radically different views about how to handle the opression of their people, but there were few people whos judgement he trusted. She was wise beyond her years, and was an excellent leader. Bentley leaned over Phase and laid his hands on her firm abdomen. He closed his eyes for a second.

"There....appears to be nothing."Sam squuezed again, and let out a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding. "Nothing out of the ordinary." he stood. " I think. Seeing as we don't know the nature of the seed or the seeder it's hard to be confidant, but if it had impregnated you somehow, I would be aware. I see no reason to worry." Sam stood as well, and his fingers lingered on Phases hand, missing her silky skin already.

"While the news is indeed good, it is overshadowed by Wynwillows mysterious absence. Bentley, you've done enough for today. Try to relax as the search party goes out." Bentley nodded graciously and quickly backed out of the room. "I am enthused that you're alright Phase." Sam stared at the wall as he spoke. "I cannot imagine this mortal coil without you."

Phase watched Bently approch he seemed nervous and she tryed not to appear to intemadating but it was habbit and natural after so long it was nearly impossable and so she gave up trying and simply focused on relaxing..

When he asked her to lift her shirt she felt Sam's hand on hers for comfort and looked over at him to distract herself from Bentlys hands on her abdoman trusting Bently to be a gentalman and Sam to see that he was as well.. not that she couldnt handle herself but she wouldnt punish Sams ppl with out giving him the oprotunity to do so.

When Bently Straitened up Sams hand left hers at the same time as Bently begain speaking.. for a moment she felt like asking sam not to let go but listened as Bently explained things she was happy enough not to be pregnant that.

After putting her shirt back down she actually danced around the room a moment.. before regaining her controll and smiled hearing Sams words and seeing Bently leave the office she said.. I would miss you too.. things would be so dull just fighting the government dont you think? she asked sencere in the first half of her statement and teasing in the last.. for the government kept them both on there toes.. there own aruments or battles with each other only added more challange and Phase always did like a challange.. well some days .. she thought..

"My life is nothing but fighting the government." Sam sighed. "It's all they left me." He looked at her. "I'm going to look for Wyneillow now. I...would like to stay, I really would, but I have... An obligation. You understand, right?" Sam looked past Phase and out the window. "I just can't let anything happen to her. When we find here, we will regroup here, and figure out what to do about your attack. I promise I will help you in anyway I can." He looked into her eyes, smiled weakly and without much enthusiasm, before dropping his gaze.

Phase walked forward and slowly brought her hand up to touch Sam's cheek causing him to look up at her. Her eyes saying what she would not at this time.. I understand how you feel, Many of my people are young yet and need rest for it is late. I will start out and join you in the morning.. and leave some here to guard the camp.. I will send at least Joie with you he is able to fly, see threw objects, and become invisable he will be good if you need stelth rather than force..

Phase wanted to ask him to stay with her but she couldnt not right now perhaps in the future they may be together or may not.. but now they must find Wyn.. and go from there.. She let her hand slowly fall and walked over to the phone on her desk once more picking it up and diling Joie's cabin number. He awncered on the 4th ring and listened to her orders. I accept and I'll be right over.. They hung up.. He'll be here shortly and you can go as soon as you wish..

Wynwillow

Wyn continued on the sun was set now and she was just on the edge of town another mile or two on foot and she could duck into the trees and fly the rest of the way to the abandoned barn. Well that wasnt exactly a waisted trip..at least i know he made it away from those agents alright..and apparently found a friend.. she said to herself as she continued walking down the road..

Few cars passed ppl ehter on there way home from work or going to the bar.. Some even going to work as they worked late.. one couple in a truck stopped and asked if she needed a lift she told them no thanks she didnt live far off and would be fine. They let her go on her way and left.

Finnally figuring she was far enough out of town she ducked into the trees and flew twords the barn, if she'd have been on the road 10 minuets longer she would have seen the millitary trucks drive by and into the town she had left.. but as it was she had missed them..

she flew threw the trees weving in and out of them landing just at the edge of a small clearing where the old farm house and abandoned barn were set..

She moved carefully forward not wanting to startle anyone just in case.. she learned along time ago just because it looked empty didnt mean it was...

Caine spoke with the governer on the phone apologizing for not picking up sooner saying he had been in a meeting that had held over later than planned and was just getting ready to head home for the evening.

A smile crossed his lips as he thought of his lovely secretary Ceilla when the phone conversation was over he hung up and picking up his breif case exited the building the door man hailed a taxi and he headed home to his wife, and children..

The kids were in bed when he made it home, he check on them to make sure they were asleep after kissing his wife hello.. taking her to the bedroom he asked after her day and made love to her in the shower before they both found there beds for the night..

*Ok I will go with what i am reading now and I have arrived back at my room already seeing that wyn was not around i call out to her.. thinking she had stepped out to take a walk or something maybe I go to the showers and stand there for a while and wounder why the hell i was here.. and felt like she needed to get out .. and i become a loner again she felt safer that way.. not used to having so many ppl around her... ...

ok Present day * still no sign of wyn .. hearing the Bang on my door Forgetting i was wearing only my t-shirt covering most of my body but still a tad bit short to answer the door in .. Stepping out Lash gets asked if i had seen Wyn and before i could reply Silver was standing there answering for me no i sure havent .. thinking to myself i hope she is ok .. Blushing i wave to Silver and rush back in giggling!!!

*i assume it has been a few days so i will try to post this within the days* The past few days not seeing wyn and me mostly in my room all the time.. Run to the mirror and feeling for the Coller work around it to see if i can remove it somehow!! GRRR there has to be a way COME ON!!!!

i appologize to all those who have been waiting for this thread to continue as it appears our writers have moved on and i dont have there permission to contorl there chars to continue the thread i am closing this one down in hopes that later on in the future we might get the chance to re open it and start again..

To all of you who wrote with me and was enoying the thread as much as i was i appreceate your skills and hope we can join in another thread at a future date and time..
