No, it's not a lesson to you all, it's a question for ya.

Need some topic ideas.

A paper is to be written effectively arguing both sides of a coin so to speak. For example, I thought about writing something about Erotica - arguing it to be both smut and creative fiction. Playboy -- women as objects or objects d'art.

You get the idea.

Those both seem tired and a little overdone (as is the abortion topic). I want my paper to stand out and be something the Prof hasn't read 500 times.

Ideas from you geniuses out there?

Uh....in case no one noticed the topic, it kinda sorta has to relate to human sexuality in some way.

Here's one for you:

Radical feminists believe that pornography is sexual discrimination because most of it institutionalizes male dominance and female submission. But, those who are not moralists, point to the fact that under radical feminist ideas we would also lose lesbian, gay and other forms of pornography that are empowering in society.

Radical feminists say that gay porn also institutionalizes male dominance because the "bottom" in the relationship takes on characteristics of females thereby conflating gender, sex and sexual orientation.

Analyze gay porn, and the top/bottom relationship through the perspective of male/female domination and submission.

Very interesting topic, in my opinion.

1) Pollution in water supplies leading to genital abnormalities blurs gender definitions. Is it purely XX/XY that makes us male or female or is it the appearence of our genitals?

2)(not totally unrelated to the above) Trans-sexuals and society: blurring the ideas of male and female?

3) The use of gas masks in WWII giving rise to rubber fetishism. Will Israel go the same way as UK in this?

Repressed sexuality, priest hood seen by peadophiles as a place where their urges maybe thwarted (ironic now). Sheltered and protected by church while church condemns such behaviour in secular society?

On the converse side, you could question if the policies of the Catholic Church are not somewhat responsible for this phenomenon. If Catholic priests were allowed to have sex with adult women, I think you’d have far fewer of them molesting young boys.
