do you go about deleting Threads that you have started and nolonger use ?

You can't unless no one has replied. Like this one, if you wanted to delete, you can't do because I have replied to it. You can goo through it and delete what you have said by editing and leaving the (.) of doom or whatever, but there really isn't a way of deleting threads without getting a mod to do it.

ty guess ill have to find a MOd online and ask them if they can help

Why exactly are you deleting threads. Kind of defeats the purpose of a message board. It should be assumed that messages are going to be on here till they find their way into the back pages.

well they have been around over a year now and no one has posted in them

So like I said, just let them go into message board beyond. A mod will most likely not do that for you. Far to busy to go back into old old old posts to delete them. There is a reason why these boards carry the ability to have 1-2-3++ pages of threads.

Yeah, you'll have to ask the mod of the forum you posted the thread in. I think you would probably do good coming up with a very good reason too, because like Ravin said other people probably spoke their mind and you would be deleting all that too, while there could be usefull info in the thread (ahum, a bit depending on what part of this board it is on). If you feel things have happened in your thread that are against Lit rules, that may help convince the mod to delete/remove your thread.

the point is there are 0 posts in these threads
There's two you started that have 0 replies. The other two do. We are talking about 3 different sections and different mods. PM them and see what they can do. Personally I don't see what is so bad about them that they need to be removed. If people leave them alone they will disappear to page 2 in no time. Anyway, only the forum's mods can decide.

thanks for the help and info all will wait and see what an admin tells me

Since you were more specific in that these threads have zero replies. Go to the thread, press the edit button and an option will come up asking you to delete thread. Click it and submit and there you go.

i tried that poet and dont see anything that will allow me to delete it

he's not suggesting you delete it - just go in, edit it to say "Please Delete Me" or something.

Some people go back and just change all the text to "..." - so it's pretty much empty.
