How you treat the unborn

Here in the U.S., we treat our women no better than the majority of other nations including those nations governed by a theocracy. Before 1900 our Nation treated women as nothing more than chattel regardless of what is written in our Constitution. Our Constitution opens with "We the people" but the people mentioned in our Constitution was talking about men only. Even in the Bible women were not considered equal to men but rather helpmates. Now our SCOTUS has once again placed women below men, subservient to men with their decision to strike down Roe v. Wade, telling women that each state's elected officials will decide what they can or cannot do with their reproductive system.

is how you treat your dead.

How you treat your women
is how you treat the unborn.

Seemingly only Catholics have this absurd, hypocritical fixation with the unborn. None other of major religions have a problem with understanding that woman is in charge of her own body, unquestionably. Even Islam, as surprising it may seem to ignorant people.

Why they treat their women as slaves? It's so baffling.

Abortion bans kill. Kill healthy, young women and girls that should have lived long happy productive lives and built loving families, wasn't they driven to suicide by absurd religious bullshit that prevented them from receiving healthcare.

Abortion is a necessary medical procedure that saves lives. A forced emergency there's rarely a real choice or chance to avoid. Even when there seemingly is for uninformed, uninterested and uncaring bystanders it is only the pregnant person's decision it indeed is. Or is not. Yes, it goes the other way too, nobody should be called selfish and irresponsible whatever the decision is, even if they appear to be. If you care about and respect the person and their independence you support their own right to decide about their own body and life. You are entitled to your opinion, but it is just that. You don't, can't, even shouldn't know all of considerations going into that decision.

Abortion in the USA became a birth control method.

That’s where it went off the rails.

Indeed.

I have to agree.

We continue to treat women as if they are less then human; unable to control or protect themselves.
That whole deal where they can grow a human inside a human confuses people.

“ you’re eating for two now, honey”

Anger about men's BS may be amplified with unwanted pregnancy. That may lead to cutting bits off, or friendly fire accidents with blowtorches. Guard your crotch.

Unfortunately, our medical science haven't yet advanced to where we could safely and successfully transfer the second out of the first at any stage. At least until that irreplaceability is resolved there is no other option than to treat the carrier with respect and dignity and not interfere with their body autonomy. Even if it were resolved the problem of likely non-trivial costs an interested third party (be it person, charity, church or state) would have to cover to take over remain. But it could, probably would, change ethics of such decisions.

I’m just glad it’s a subject area that has never darkened my door.

It's easy to avoid the issue, just never have vaginal sex with a fertile woman.

Since no birth control is 100% effective any fertile woman in a red state who has sex needs to be willing to have a baby, even if they are forty or fifty years old.

Condoms are only around 95% effective - so 1 in 20 times....

The red states might as well be promoting gay and hetero anal sex.

The major religions could cover the costs. They might even have bidding wars over the white fetuses.

I laugh at men telling women what to do with their bodies. It is strictly between the woman and herself.

As it should be.

I do NOT laugh at it when men telling women what to do with their bodies do so with the force of government at their back.
