Mine was a wonderfully prepared Turkey with all of the fixin's.

How many of the rest of you skipped your normal breakfast and lunch to leave more room to pig out on the big dinner?

(Breakfast is whatever you eat first, BTW. The word literally means to break a fast.)

HI, Weird Harold!

it's good to see you post again.

i had some mexican sweet bread wIth my coffee before i went out in search of big buck this morning... he on the other hand sleep in.:)

i had a blueberry bagel and a cup of coffee

unfortunately, i was at work at the time

isn't it rude that hospitals never close?

Weird Harold,

First of all, I hope your Thanksgiving was exactly as it should be.....wonderful!

No, I don't "save myself" for Thanksgiving dinner. I just try to eat the way I always eat on a normal type of day. If I didn't eat anything until dinner, I'd have a terrible headache.

My breaking of the fast was spent with my sister, whom I was visiting, and sharing in a delicious cup of coffee with homemade Date Nut Bread. That is what I make each year just for this special occasion. This feast is what I wait for each year because I miss my family so much and this is when I have the great fortune of seeing all of them together. It's heaven and sugar all rolled up into one. lol

My Thanksgiving breakfast was pitiful. I was out shopping and needed food. Our Thanksgiving dinner wasn't until 3. Because it was Thanksgiving, there was nothing open. I had Jiffy hot dogs, feeling all nostalgic as I went in to order them. After taking the first bite, the nostalgia went away and I remembered why I hadn't had them since I was a teenager.
