How to.....use Avatar

I am sorry if my question does not fall in any catagory here..im an old lierotica reader but new to these boards..as i see avatars with many of ur names and i wanna use one ..but..in my user CP..when i go on Edit Avatar section .. i don't any option to use any kind of avatar.. can i get some help from u guys..i'll be thankful

Welcome. You need to have 100 posts before you get the option to add an AV. You might have to wait until you get a little past 100, and refresh your Control Panel pages though (or so I've heard). There are several threads on avatars in the first few pages of How To, so you might want to check those out for more info, but 100 posts is the standard.

well that is an absolute pile!! why on earth come up with such a stupid system?? this is the only forum I know of that does this!!

I like avatars as it distinguishes (sp) you from the rest of the crowd and makes it easier to spor your own, or someone else's post!!

The current statistics from the main index: "Threads: 310,984, Posts: 11,873,072, Members: 452,083"

Over half of those 400K+ members have less than 100 posts with a large percentage having fewer than ten.

Why should Literotica waste the server space to store and bandwidth to display 200,000 avatars for people who don't participate in the community?

A significant percentage of the people who don't qualify for an avatar here are spammers and casual trolls (as opposed to long term trolls who quickly earn an avatar) whose only purpose in registering in the first place is to disrupt the forums -- why should they be allowed to load up the avatar database too?

It's my experiecne that spammers don;t put up an avatar as they are quickly found and banned!

Point taken with 400k members though. That was a fact I was un -aware of.
