i have a serious question: is there a right or wrong way to shave your pubic area? do you have a favorite shaver that leaves the area smooth? or a favorite shaving cream? what about the itchiness that occurs after?....

im asking these questions because i have not shaved my area before....(trimmed though) i am a 19/m and i want to shave myself properly....

thanx in advance

oh....and of course...womens general tips are welcome :D

Do not shave ur pubic area. The hairs will go spikey unless u intend to shave it everyday (or wax it... though that hurts a lot to begin with, and after a few weeks goes spikey anyway).
Anyhow, when them hairs go spiky, its serious pain time everytime you get a hard on. Trust me when i say it is not worth the hassle. Just keep it trimmed down though, and it should be okayish :)

Its perfectly find for a man to shave himself, Raizel.
I'd recommend picking up a can of Women's sensative skin shaving cream (best for shaving down there) to start with. Also use a new razor blade, hubby and I both use the triple bladed disposables for shaving down there.
Go slowly and with the grain of the hair. IE if it all points down then shave down. Be very careful not to cut yourself, it hurts like hell, and I'm female. Can only imagine it would sting worse for a guy.
If you're really thick and bushy you may want to start with some scissors and trim things up first to get the thickest parts under control.
And afterwards, slather everything up with a body creme (Bath and Body works makes some great ones.) or a really thick lotion, let it soak in, apply a second coat and you should be fine.
As the hair grows back it will itch like nothing else, or so my hubby complains when he shaves himself for me. The heat of summer is not the best time to shave down there, apparently things stick to one's legs and such, not fun.
Hope this helps. Remember- women's shaving creme, sharp/new bladed razor and lots of body creme afterward. Repeat body creme daily or every other day to keep skin soft (helps prevent in grown hairs)
Good luck.

not special "bikini" creams

i bought the special "bikini zone" cream, and i found it really does not work very well. for me, the nice thick skintimate gel (in peach, yay!), leaves me feeling smooth all over!
(and they have unscented versions if a guy wants to try the same moisturizing gels that girls use)

This is kinda funny I thought when thinking of what we do. Hubby has me give him hair cuts- above his shoulders. He gets naked in the bathroom and then showers, so one day he said he was getting a little long and his hair was getting caught in his forskin. I had him stand after shaving his head and I used the hair clippers on his pubes. This worked great, thinned out the hair and took it really short without shaving him bald. The only problem is that if you get too close to the balls, the vibration of the clippers send him loopy. Next thing you know he is rock hard and his balls are tight. So I kept on going until everything was tidy, then slapped him on the ass and sent him to the shower. I told him he was covered in hair and he had to go have a cold shower to settle down until the kids were in bed.
Having someone help is fun as you can see.

Shaving

I first experienced being shaved years ago for a medical procedure and loved the feeling so much I just continued.
However, having the male orderly perform the procedure was a might unsettling at the time. I couldn't help but get a semi-erection with him holding my shaft and moving my balls around.
I recommend a bath first to prepare and soften the skin and hair.
I've found a mach 3 razor to be the most forgiving and gentlest with lots of shaving cream.
Afterwards use moisturizer as mentioned above.
My hair has never come back in spiky or any different than usual.
I shave about every 4 days to keep it clean and smooth.
My gf loves giving me oral with my nice smooth clean balls and shaft.
Go for it!

I bought the Intimate Area Shaver out of an ad in Playboy and it works very well as long as you keep it shaved. My hair grows really quickly and I have to shave every day in order to keep it in check. The shaver goes over my cock and balls without nicks or tugs and no red bumps from ingrown hairs. If I can't keep up with the shaving though, I'll use my mach3 with the Skintimate shaving cream.

Never, ever, ever, EVER!!! Use Nair... that is a burning feeling I don't ever want to revisit... That and Ben-Gay gel... but that's a different story, that I ain't going into.

"do not shave ur pubic hair ... "

i disagree, it looks very hot, feels good, and even if you get some stubble, its only annoying for like 1 day til it gets a little longer and softer.

make sure you dont use a dull razor of course... and i would suggest shaving your legs with a brand new razor and then shaving your pubic hair with it... using a brand new blade can hurt sometimes. always use baby oil afterwards, makes the area feel much better afterwards. have fun!

for the guys?.....

um.....quick question.....do i shave my balls with a razor?? is there another way??

Use a straight razor, the kind you strop on a leather belt :p

Just joking. Take a gilette mach 3 and work slowly and gently. If you don't cut your face up, you shouldn't cut your balls up - simple as that.
