How to keep him interested

karen quoth
and later when he held my hand in his, i could feel a lot closer bond, a sense that his touch on me meant so much more.
that actually brought a tear to my eye, karen. i'm happy for you. :>

so i guess that you don't really need to worry about keeping him interested: sounds like he's plenty interested already. :>

OK then, I hearby rename this thread and declare the new topic: How to keep him standing on my front lawn in the middle of the night holding flowers and singing Itallian love songs. :D

Hi Karen,

This is all so cool! And I can so much identify with what you were going through... I'm glad you found just that bit of advice you were looking for to gain that last bit of convidence you apparently needed.

Can't wait to read more about your next date. If you are willing to share that with us...

Thank you Eilan. And I know.... A lot has been going on since we came back from our holiday in France at the end of September. During that holiday we decided we wanted to move to France and we are now in the proces of finding out what it takes. There's all sorts to find out; work, a place to live and the arrangement with M's two young children, who live with their mother but visit us every other week for a weekend and during some holidays. Things like that... I have been looking around at Lit every now and then but know what happens once I start reacting again: I want to know what's next (like now).... It's wonderful to get such a warm welcome back though.... :rose:

Wow, thanks for the nice words and it's a pleasure to meet you here too! Well it looks like we may be going away for a 3-day weekend following Thanksgiving, so that should provide lots of time to have fun and get to know each other even better!

Sounds good to me... ;) Isn't cloud 9 (or a Pink Cloud as we call it in NL) not the nicest place to resort? M and I went away for a few days when we were just together and it was magical and indeed a good way to get to know each other better. We rented a small house with a fireplace in the woods and made long walks, went out for shopping and drinks in a nearby town and things like that, but mainly also we NEVER used the bedroom since we dragged the matrasses in front of the fireplace every night :D

Have a very good time, do NOT think about us ..... just tell us all when you return....

LOL...it sounds like my plans too! 3-day weekend, plenty of time to walk and talk, hold hands, do some shopping, lots of nice places to eat. I don't think we'll have the luxury of a fireplace, but the hotel has hot tubs and a pool so that should be fun.

I promise not to think about Lit...but I will take notes and post about it later! :D

What do they say again....? Great minds think alike...? ;) :p

Have a great time! Make sure to stock up some nice Champagne (and proper glasses) and fingerfood just in case you have 'no time' to leave the hotelroom... ;) ..... and you should be fine....

He's a cop though, do they drink Champagne? Eilan, what wine goes with donuts?

Sorry, couldn't help it. The smartass in me is rearing it's ugly head today! Have fun Karen. :nana:

LMFAO....hey I think the "wine with donuts" thing is a perfectly logical question. Sounds like something I'd ask so I don't think you need to be all that embarrassed! Birds of a feather, you know! :D

For glazed doughnuts, I would go with a crisp Pinot Grigio but chocolate donuts are better served with a hearty Merlot or perhaps a nice round Zinfandel.

:D Cop connaisseurs to the rescue! Maybe he's French though.... and likes his Champagne after all? ;)

Hell if I know. My hubby's a beer kinda guy. He even has the t-shirt to prove it--"Off-Duty Cop Workin' on a Case." :D

Of course, he also has a t-shirt that he got for volunteering to be shot with a Taser. Some people will do anything for a t-shirt.

That gives new meaning to the phrase "been there, done that, got the t-shirt"! Thanks Eilan, for reinforcing the stereotype! :D

I've always thought traveling together was an excellent litmus test. If you can travel with someone, that's a good sign.

So, back to the furry handcuffs ... are you going to pack them for your trip? :D

So true. When we ended up laughing uncontrollably after waiting six hours for a bus in MiddleofNowhere, Spain and three weeks of things going wrong, I thought, 'Hey, this is a guy I could spend a significant chunk of my life with happily.' :D

Hehehe.....if he brings the cuffs, is it then appropriate for me to pack the strap-on? :D
