How to get an Avatar

Im fairly new here and I was told that after 100 posts I would be able to get an avatar. Is that true? I dont see an option in my cp to do it. Am I doing something wrong?

If you click 'edit avatar' on your user control panel there should be an option to 'use custom avatar.' Then you can upload a pic but it must be no more than 150 x 150 pixels and no more than 15kb.
