I want to take some preemptive measures. (someone's avatar has me skeered)
What can you do to lessen the effects of gravity on the body?

Very good. I can only guess at whose AV that is... our resident size expert, Eilan.

best thing you can do is keep the muscles toned... it's the only thing between you and the dreaded saggy boob syndrome.

I think that, in spite of the inspiration for the thread, there's a serious question here. :)

The av I have up now is the real me; a lot of you might have seen it before, particularly during football season. My breasts aren't perfect, but I'm okay with them.

I have to admit that I didn't really worry about sagging breasts during my early 20's, but when I had my first child at 24, it was pretty obvious that my boobs weren't going to be what they were.

Now, after four pregnancies (I nursed all of my kids), it's pretty obvious that gravity has taken a toll. I suppose I could see a surgeon and have 'em lifted, but I'm not too keen on surgery.

To keep things from going farther south, I wear a good bra and watch my weight.

EJ's comment re: toning the pectorals is, i understand, one recognized means of addressing the matter.

Move to the top of a mountain. Seriously. The further you travel from the center of the earth the less the effect of gravity. Or move to the moon. Or a spaceship. The further you go from any large object the better.

Sorry, it's the rocket scientist in me.

Since I moved to Australia two years ago I have hardly worn a bra, they're too hot and constricting in the summer :) I'm a small B cup and even though I'm 47 now and successfully breastfed two kids for a year each, they are still holding up there

Get of the planet, thats the only way to lessen the effects of gravity....
unless you go to jupiter... where gravity actually INCREASES compared to earth's.

If you were on Jupiter you would have more to worry about than the extra gravity. Like the incredible pressure and heat. Also since Jupiter doesn't have a solid surface, you wouldn't really have to worry about gravity, buy rather bouyancy.

Actually, that is another option, if you are earthbound. Live underwater. Then you would only have to worry about things sagging upward.

Invest in some good sets of bra's? and when u exersise wear a good sports bra... i dunno thats what i do.

I read an interview once with Danni Ashe, who has a really large, natural bosom, and she said that she wears a custom-designed, extra-supportive bra at all times except when she absolutely must expose her breasts (sex, showering, doctor's office, or posing nude). Now, she's a professional pornstar and so has a little more interest than some of us when it comes to keeping her breasts in top condition - the custom brassiere may be an impractical option for most women. But I think her main point was that she wore it all the time. The result is that her heavy hangers don't hang too much.
