There are some things to watch out for. First and foremost is the cleanliness factor, how easy is it to wash the product. Some items are more user-friendly in this regard. If you're not going with the "Feel-doe" as Quoll suggested, try and find a product where you can separate the dildo from the harness. The "Vacu-loc" system is nice, though a bit more expensive, but you can buy numerous sized and shaped attachments and keep the same harness system. Many dildos are "dishwasher safe" which is convenient too. Beware of flimsy harnesses, since this part of the assembly takes a lot of abuse. Cheap rivets are often used to attach the parts of the strap and the dildo itself, and they often pull through the strap material. Little nooks and crannies provide places for water to remain after washing, and give a chance for rust to develop if the manufacturer used cheap construction methods.

I had a good laugh over the dishwasher pic.
The first time I brought a dishwasher safe e-glass dildo I thought they were joking because who'd want to wash their sex toys in the same place where you wash your eating utensils. I still prefer the old way of hand washing. I find it more relaxing..
