do you know what threads you posted on and how can you get back to them? Or even threads that you posted, how do you get back to them to see if anyone has responded? Do you have to subscribe to it? Is there an easier way?

Go into My Profile and click on the All posts by yourself or All posts started by yourself.
And yes subscribe to them too.

Someone said somewhere that there was a skin you could choose that would show threads you'd posted in differently like some other sites do, but I tried all the skins and didn't find it. I may have overlooked something there, though... or maybe they were wrong or the skin's since been taken off the list?

It would be nice to have something like that, though. It would be easier. Personally, I don't subscribe to a bunch of threads, so I probably miss responses to me. I'm not ignoring people, honestly! *lol*

If you subscribe you can get alerts when someone posts. I think that would drive me nuts

That's why I don't subscribe. I mean, some threads are pretty active and to get alerts flooding in from threads I've posted in every time someone posts... it's too much bother just to catch any responses to my post, y'know?

Normally, I just keep a mental note on what I've posted in recently (same day) and check back to continue conversation, but if someone responds later or the next day or the next day, I might miss.

Meh... in the end, if someone really wants to reach me, they can always PM.

Just do a search (advanced search) on your name. Over on the bottom left you can choose by thread or by post. Click on the hyperlinked beginning of the post and you'll go right to that post, so you can read whatever came after.

You can turn the alerts off. Or... I can, anyway.

If a thread is important or interesting, I just bookmark it, quick and easy to do, and each time you check on it, you can update the bookmark to bring you back to where you left off.

If you use FireFox, this is super easy, you literally drag the tab into a folder you designate in the toolbar.
