How Soon Should They Wait to ‘Get Busy’

Actually that story gets suuuuuuper ambiguous in an interesting way if you drop the last sentence!
You mean, end with "... they did It." and go straight to "The End"

Yeah, that's much better... WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT [pound fist on leg repeatedly] Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! [sarcasm]

This is why you always revise before posting, people! [not sarcasm]

EDIT: actually, it could go with a different final sentence: "... they did It. And it was good. The End"

Because uhhh there's at least one other big It, the only one that matters, and depending on how you did It, the clean sheets would get pretty messy.

Well truthfull it's when you want them to/the story calls for it. There's no right answer. But I'll add an addendum of; story length can be a factor at play, which also kinda ties in with how many times they fuck. My recent stories more or less jump in it, the ideas didn't need much plot.

Oh yeah, story length is definitely another factor for amount and length of sex scenes. Also which characters you want involved in which combinations. For series, I prefer to put in at least one sex scene per chapter. More if appropriate.

My question is referring to how long should I pull the reader until I give them some ‘throb’?
However long you want. My record so far is 17 years, though I've read stories where it took longer.

Sorry, being silly, you meant word count, but the answer is still the same. 60 to 60,000 words and everything in between. If it's well written, you find an audience.
