Now … maybe the TV reporter was misrepresenting things a bit, but somehow I don’t’ think so. It was just a small feature on the Marietta, Georgia 4th of July parade. There they were, the Cobb County Republicans carrying their little sign and marching behind the Georgia Flag. The OLD Georgia flag. The Georgia flag with the Confederate battle emblem on it.
The reporter then told us of the GOP plans to unseat Georgia ********** ******** *** ****** next year --- and that the Republicans are going to use ******’ support for changing the Georgia flag as their central issue.
What idiots. The Georgia Republican Party thinks that the people of this state are going to elect hoards of Republicans on the flag issue? The ********* must be laughing their asses off.
Look – the vast majority of people registered to vote in the State of Georgia don’t give a flying damn about this State flag controversy. They DO care about traffic congestion, high taxes, the hideous state of government education and crime. They DO care about the hoards of semi-literate self-important elected officials who pollute various boards and councils across the state who maintain their precious political power by transferring wealth from high income communities to their home districts with useless vote-buying schemes.
But the confederate flag? Who gives a damn! The Republicans think they’re going to ride to victory in Georgia on symbolism? What a prime example of rhetoric over substance.
There are not more than 18 people in the State of Georgia who obsess to any degree over the change in the Georgia Flag, and most of these people are too busy learning the latest bondo application techniques to register to vote anyway.
Hey, ******** ******. Breathe easy. The Republicans pose no threat to you next year. Too bad the Libertarians aren’t just a bit stronger.
