Paying more than you make eh? that prove right there that you are canadian

No joke. Not only do they take every penny I make but they routinely burst into the house and steal my pants.

Damn feds.

The max. Nothing to deduct. Own my homes. Too much interest on assets. Still, it beats working.

 What's the max?

p_p_

I pay a man good money to think about that kind of shit.
I get to spend all day reading, surfing, working with wood, building, playing with the smartest, prettiest, most talented daughter in the whole world...

God, whatta country!

Don't believe what the socialists tell you!

You gotta move here!

You'd love it!

Mornings, the fog hands around shrouding the hills, yes, we have hills in Kansas, like a Japanese screen...

I just had a look at my latest paycheck statement, and calculated that 37% out of my salary went to the goverment!!

Then there's the 25% sales tax we pay on EVERYTHING in Denmark. The high gas prices, and car prices.

But we also do have free schooling all the way through university, and you get an amount each month from the Government. Free health care. Unemployment pay via the union if you're a member of it. Pension and a few more benefits.

I pay enough taxes to keep the roads paved, the police in order, and the firemen at my beck and call. I pay enough to support the teachers that teach my children, the hospitals that house my elders, and the ones that couldn't be taken care of without my contribution.

Oh you mean total tax...

21% income tax
10-12% National Insurance Stamp (a sort of Social Security tax)
17.5% sales tax on most goods.

TOTAL: 48%-50.5%

Jeez I wish you hadn't aked me that question!

Clearly...

I don't pay enough, because I seem to feel compelled to supplement the county coffers by making routine contributions via speeding tickets.

Who in their right mind would sell ME a car that can get up to 60 25 feet from a full stop? Unbelievable!

If you add up all the taxes ON taxes, the total comes out at about 90%.
That $30k Automobile actualy costs about $300 to manufacture.
The iron miner pays tax on his wages, the mining company pays tax on it's income. The total is passed on to the Steel mill company. and so forth to the consumer.
Add them all up.

Whoever does the payroll at the bar where I work needs to be replaced. I'm only paying about 12% in income tax. I'm on the 'old' payroll system, I've been there for four years. Last summer, they switched to a 'new' payroll system, and all of the new employees are underneath that one. The employees who have been hired since then are paying in anywhere from 35-40% just in income tax. I'm working less hours than a lot of these people and taking home more money, because they are getting way more money taken out...go figure.

I pay around 30% on my wages.

Then there is 6% sales tax.

Then I pay $1283.62 property tax

Oh yea!,17¢ a gallon gas tax.

I'm am sure that there is a tax that I am forgetting about. But when I figure out what I am paying,it figures out to be between 40 to 45% of my pay each and every year.

The payroll system has NOTHING at all to do with the amount of tax you have taken out of your check. The number of deductions you claim on your W-4 form does. It is a very logical, mathematical equation.

If you are not having enough taken out, do you owe tax when you file your return? Just be careful that you have enough taken out to avoid penalties for underwithholding during the year.

I'll trade ya! Besides all the income tax I pay, I also pay $4,500 or so in property tax. And I don't live in a mansion, my house is probably a little over $200,000 in market value. Maybe $225,000 on a good day.

I live in a state with one of the highest taxes around.

Scarey!

I now realise that my finances are being raped!!

Income Tax - 40%
Goods Tax - 17.5%
Tax on property of frightening amounts!

But, and this is the scarey bit, 87.5 pence UK per litre for gas....now ask yourselves how much of that is tax! I laugh when I hear other nations bitching bout the cost of fuel - try paying $1.75 can a litre.

What is worse is that the haul the stuff out of the north sea, bout 50 miles from home for many, ship it down to the Federal Republic of Englandshire! refine it and send it back to us at a vastly elevated cost!

A few weeks ago I decided I had had my fill, so Todd, I guess I`ll be on your tax system now....got to be better,

Hugs,

Heart xxx

I don't know what %........

all I know is that I pay tooooo much

Oh you mean total tax...

hey p_p man you forgot:
fuel tax
road tax
council tax

To own and run a car in the uk you need to have a bottomless pit of money, this is the most expensive country in europe to buy a car, the price of petrol is off the scale, and road tax is about £180 per year (please feel free to correct me if this figure is wrong)

The tax's I dislike the most are;
tax on fuel (gas and electricity)
council tax (my problem with this is it costs me nearly £70 a month, and I don't get dustbin men, we have no streetlights and the last copper I saw was on the main road pointing a radar gun at traffic, why am I paying this???????? )
