At the moment we're after just one group, bin Laden and his followers. But out there somewhere there are others maybe hundreds of others who have witnessed the destruction of the twin towers and the reaction it's created from America and it's allies.
They may not have thought of such a comparatively simple way to cause so much death and destruction. But they certainly know now.
So whilst our eyes and ears are turned in one direction there may be plenty more suicide killers from many other terrorist groups from all over the world, living amongst us and planning acts of similar simplicity.
Are we in danger of being overwhelmed?
How is it possible to carry out the same reprisals that we are carrying out against Afghanistan against so many others.
Especially as it's unlikely we know who they all are and what grievances they're carrying around with them.
This is getting more complex and dangerous by the minute.
