How long does the approval process take?

I'm still trying to figure out how to maneuver this site and its been almost a week since my first story submission and it still says pending. Any one have a clue how long it takes to be approved? I can't even figure out if this question has been asked before.

You'll see a bit of a delay, this is probably the worst time of the year to submit a story. As someone mentioned earlier, "Summer Lovin'" entries were due by midnight last night, and a lot of folks were editing right up until the last minute.

It's also Labor Day weekend, so the "Pregnant Party" 3 days contest over on the fetish board is in full swing (no pun intended).

One other thing you should be aware of, if your story contains the words "school", "coed" or "teacher" it is flagged by the submission processing software for manual review. Underage sex is a violation of forum rules and is taken very seriously around here (*ahem* unless your name is boxlicker101, but I digress...)

This question is asked almost daily on the AH; it's also answered in the FAQ section there. In addition, if your story is pending and you click "view" button {or any button at all, just to be on the safe side}, your story goes back to the end of the queue. Be patient. It'll eventually get there.
