How long does it take for story approval

I submitted chapter on the 26th and part two on the 27th. Part 1 has been out for days, part 2 is still pending.

From what I've seen, Laurel will often intentionally leave a publishing gap between series chapters!

You shouldn't have done that. 7 days pending, when there was a contest wrapping up, is in fact fairly typical. Now you've got that xx days all over again.

Weird update. Two weeks later my second story in the series is finally getting published. Weirder it comes the day after I submitted part three which will be published the day after part two.

I've found that word count is completely unrelated to publishing delays.

My story, which was up for around around a month and I asked about here in this thread (and was told to leave as is), I pulled down and resubmitted and was approved in a few days. So I’m going to go with resubmitting is it’s been languishing on “pending”.
