how long does it take for literotia to accept your story?

i posted a story (my 1st one) a week ago and it still has not been accepted, how long does it normally take for every one? it still says story pending in the submissions sction. please help!!

It depends on the number of stories being submitted at the time.

It usually takes longer than you think is reasonable plus a day.

Your first submission ever is likely to take longer than subsequent ones.

BUT - the real answer is that the length of time you have to wait relies on the moon cycle and the movement of sheep in their pasture in Rhode Island modified by the exchange rate of the Australian dollar against the yen.

PS. It takes much longer during themed contests if it isn't a competition entry. There isn't one at present.

Quickest? About two hours for a contest entry. Slowest? For that you need to go back to the old days, when I first submitted, when it was a month or more. At the moment? A week plus. I've had one in the queue since last Friday, but I notice it picked up a couple of views today, so I'm hoping.
