Google Chat has become a preferred way. KIK was good YEARS ago, but so many ads now.

Maybe iMessage/Facetime…but that takes trust and time.

it's typically Telegram or Google Voice for texting/pic exchange -occasionally will jump on Skype or Whereby for video chat.

Snapchat and Skype (the latter especially for group calls). Abandoned kik years ago after the app got sold and they replaced the vid chat feature with loads of ads, bots and bugs.

Signal is good. Secure (if you aren't a dumbass inviting others in), removes geotags, can allow or not allow screenshots and image downloads. Data kept only on the phone, encrypted in transit.. Am I paranoid? Probably. Should I be? Probably.

Telegram is pretty good due to the privacy settings it has, e.g. one-time sharing, download protections, etc. Makes perfect for when you want to share some kinkiness that you would have otherwise not shared, but knowing it'll vaporize into the ether in just a few seconds gives you the necessary level of comfort
