The damn popup that says that your computer is in danger of fatal failure.

It is a message that is wanting you to go and sign up for there shit, and i do not want it.

Any ideas will be helpful. Have a great evening.

If it does it when you are not surfing the internet then it is a virus, or spyware.
If it does it only while you are browsing it could still be spyware or it could just be a popup on a particular site.
Make sure you have a good up to date antivirus program, firewall, and spyware program.
Check your internet settings and make sure it is set to block popups.

It sounds like spyware. You could try downloading a pop up blocker but sometimes they can cause more problems than they solve. If you have a firewall or anti v program you should be able to scan your system for any spy/adware and remove them. Some downloaded programs include adware as part of the program i.e. peer to peer sharing programs or toolbars so unless necessary avoid d/loading these programs.

if you use Mozilla Firefox you can prevent most annoying pop-ups like that. I prefer using Firefox to IE Explorer and have been very happy with it for 3 years now.

Firefox free download

I just have to say, when I read your post, I read it along with your username, so it came out as "How to turn off George W. Bush?"

And I laughed a lot.

:O)

Solution to all your spyware/adware/popup issues

I have the perfect solution to all of your spyware/adware/popup issues. Install Linux. Specifically Pclinuxos. It is a very user friendly version of Linux complete with all an office suite, and all the free software you could ever want via synaptic( free linux program that lets you download unlimited games, utilites, kernal updates etc....) No more Windows security holes and subsequent patches, no more zombie pcs( ever wonder why that really fast computer you bought a yr ago is now slower than a Pentium 3? it's because someone in eastern Europe has made your computer part of a bot-net.)

For people who don't want to download the free linux OS BUY A MAC!!!! Mac's are simpler to run, much much much less prone to viruses, pop ups, spyware and adware.

Windows computers are good for one thing and one thing only that is gaming. If you game you need to have a windows pc, but please do me a favor and game with your internet cord unplugged.

its adware that self installs through Internet Explorer. I am thinking its an IE exploit as it starts popping up as soon as you connect to the internet. Get Firefox...install a firewall and you'll be rid of shit like that. Oh yeah, actually use Firefox as your browser, and stop using IE altogether (I know your going to hear from allot of folks that its not Internet Explorer but you cant trust me...It is)

And the above poster is right ...switch to Linux for the ultimate solution. Ive used Linux off and on for a couple of years, with hardly any issues.
