How do you play with your lover?

I'm referring to "playing" in non-sexual terms.

The other night - as the husband and I were getting ready to hit the hay, I noticed he'd stolen one of my pillows. As I was stealing it back, he made a smart-assed comment. I'm not sure what possessed me, but I just hauled off and whacked him with the pillow. There was a moment of stunned silence and then an evil grin spread across his face and the fight was on...although after about 10 minutes, he switched to guerrilla tactics and started tickling me... uh, game over. As we snuggled together, I drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face and a warm glow in my heart. That brief interlude was so emotionally satisfying that it has stayed with me for several days and I've been reminded that these fun times together are just as important to a relationship as all of the hot and heavy stuff.

Tickling fights, wrestling and pillow fights are common. We also like to play with the cats together, and play video games together.

You sound like you have a good relationship and I'm not necessarily pointing this out to you but to all the readers in general that if you experience something like this that is satisfying to you it is important to let your SO know so that maybe it can happen more often. It would be easy to just enjoy the moment but forget to tell the other how much you actually did enjoy it.

I play lots of card games with my partner - we have a traditional 'first game' and the winner picks the next game and a bunch of other little things we do. I know i can pick up some cards and start dealing and he'll know what were playing. I find that comforting. We also like to pat each others clothing/body parts and say topshop...
