How do you multi quote?

It's very simple.

On the bottom of the post, you'll see three buttons. Click the one that looks like this:

. Continue to do this with all the posts you wish to quote.

When you are ready to post, click on the

button. Type whatever you want to type, hit submit, et voilà. Multi-quoted post.

If you are using a different forum "skin", the multi-quote button icon may also look like a couple of sheets of paper, one stacked offset from the other. It is the middle button, between the button that says "quote" and the quick-reply arrow botton, located in the bottom right corner of the post.

**Extra bonus tip ** - Instead of hitting "Post Reply", you may also just click the "QUOTE" button instead of the "multi-quote" button in the last post you are quoting. All your selected multi-quotes, including the last you clicked "quote" will appear in your reply to thread window.

Are you clicking every single post that you wish to quote with the

) button before clicking on the 'post reply'?

When the pages refreshes for you to type, you should see all your quotes.

It sometimes takes a second or two before the multi-quote icon changes color -- like so:

-- but nothing else happens until you open the newreply page.

Alternatively, you can manually quote the portions of a thread you wish to reply to. It is difficult to maintain the "goto post" button in each quoted passage that way, but adding the attribution is fairly simple.

PS: multi-quote does NOT work with quick replies. You have to use the full-featured reply page.
