I love dark. There is a brand at home (Whittakers, good honest chocolate since 1869) that makes a dark bitter/sweet bar. God that is fantastic chocolate.

I love all chocolate. Lindt has an excellent dark. I have a Godiva near my house, you can buy fresh chocolates by the peice, they know me by name. :D

I rather milk chocolate first with dark close behind too.

And when I was going to school we had a mooirs chocolate factory across the road and we use to by pounds of it for dirt cheap every week

Dark chocolate is the best! Dove's Dark Chocolate Promises are the best! White chocolate is an abomination.

They'd know me by name too :)

I agree with the people that pick Milk chocolate, and Juspar I love Cadbury Chocolate, anything by them and I'm a happy chappie.

Sharffen Berger Dark Chocolate.
Say it like the prayer it is.

It's for eating out of hand and/or cooking with.
I have a pastry chef friend who intro'ed me to it years ago and now, well, i'm addicted.
When i want really good chocolate, this is the kind i ache for.
You gotta really look for it cuz it's not widely available (i bet they have a website, though) but, oh!, is it good.

Addendum:
Yep, yep, yep - they have a website.
I've had their chocolate sauce (can we say "good enough to bring on a chocolate coma?" boys and girls?) and the small candy bars.
Gods is this stuff good.
I swear, if you try some you'll never think of the chocolate the same way again.

I don't have chocolate too often but........

when I do DARK chocolate is the best.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

white.. with dark coming in somewhere near second behind it

i do not like milk chocolate though (unless its the imitation powder for hot chocolate... that's the only stuff i like and that isnt exactly chocolate)

Dark and milk chocolate are both great. I dig dark more, but good chocolate is good chocolate. Especially in the form of truffles.

Sprungli truffles are THE best truffles. Absolute heaven. Hard to get stateside, but on those really bad days, it's worth having a box Fed-ex'd from Zurich.

Dan's Chocolate (dans.com) makes the best truffles in the US. Their chocolatiers are all Swiss-trained, and the truffles are perfectly textured and taste so good they give you a rush.

A company called Nirvana also makes good truffles. Chocosphere.com used to sell them - dunno if they still do.

White chocolate is NOT chocolate

White "chocolate" isn't even real chocolate- it is kind of like a wax imitation. It doesn't qualify for the title of "chocolate" since there is no real cocoa in it .

The best Godiva chocolate is bought right in Belgium. I stocked up at a Godiva store in Brussels - they have many different kinds that aren't imported to the U.S. and they are GOOD!

or any...

Anything that remotely resembles any kind of chocolate is fair game!

I love chocolate almost as much as I love............

being at lit!

Virtual chocolate..........Somehow, it just doesn't satisfy like the real thing.
