How do I.......

Try to get her to go to counseling with you anyway. What the hell does 'it's over' mean, anyway? Too many people are just walking away from what are supposed to be life time commitments and not even trying. Just try to get her to go to counseling with you, Tell her you love her enough to do anything (I assume that you do-if you don't, then you should). That's the best advice I could give anybody in your situation, except maybe or the spiritual type, which you might not take anyway. I sure wish you luck, though.

bcjonlyman, I apologize if I came out as too harsh this afternoon. It just breaks my heart to think about the things kids go through with the crap between us adults. And knowing how much love kids are capable of, I was just being emphatic about getting at least that portion of life squared away.

Everybody posts have been helpful. Like I said I have 2 counseling sessions scheduled on the 12th and the 13th. I'm going to do everything in my power to become a better person. Thats means being a better father, friend, and in the future maybe a husband.

I really need to look myself in the mirror and take responsibility for all the things I did to hurt the people in my life. I grew up with no father and I don't want to repeat that pattern. My kids deserve a healthy relationship with their father.

Today I'm standing up and being a man.

Thanks all

Now you're talking! Good for you!

Come back anytime if you need us to remind you ;)
