How do I get my Tag Words to save in my older stories?

This is an issue others have as well. I have a bunch of stories from 2004 and when the new Tag Format was introduced, I filled in my tags and hit Save, only they just won't save. The newer stories work fine.

What gives? Is there a trick to this? I haven't found it addressed in the FAQ.

I tried the same thing, just figured it was something I was doing wrong.

I'll PM Weird Harold - he'll know the answer.

But guesses that - "the story tags can be edited or revised by the same process any other part of the story is edited -- submitting a new submission with the EDIT flag in the title."

Sounds good to me - may have to give it a try.

Go through the whole submit process again with the old stories. Make sure you EDIT them with the proper tags. Looks like the new system and old system tags don't mesh.

The world isn't ending because the story tags won't save; it's ending because Weird Harold doesn't know why they won't save.

If you add 'EDIT' to the title when you resubmit, you retain all your votes and comments on the story. Only the text and tags will be changed to what you submit in the edited version.

That's the only way. That little "click here" thing doesn't do a thing. You have to re-submit, as you say.
