I gots people I ned to be talking to i see you on there but it boots me before I get to do anything. :(

Cuz they are evil!

I get booted a lot too. Then there's that AIMRape thing.

I don't know about a conspiracy, but

This would explain why Yahoo won't connect for me right now.

I heard bout AIMRape a while back...there's this string of characters you can send to someone. It'll totally lock up your AIm and generally cause bad things . I haven't heard much about it recently.

I actully think that sometimes, 2 can's and a string are better than these IM services.

hmmmm, interesting

Anyway it messes it up not that AIM is so reliable to begin with.

Sometimes I think I'd be better off just yelling to you all out my window.

At least they are free.

Hell, two paper cups and a string work better than Yahoo at times. I think there's someone there monitoring my messages and as soon as I get into a conversation, bam, the ax falls and suddenly the messages don't go through any more.

Although if we were close enough to use the cans and string, we wouldn't need them, now would we?

I got MSN, AIM, Yahoo and ICQ running right now, through Trillian. I have only been booted once today, about 6 hrs ago.

I don't usually have problems with ICQ...I don't usually get messages on it tho. AIM gives me too much trouble.

I got MSN, AIM and ICQ. I never use ICQ,. ICQ is the msin way to pick up hackers. If you have hackers getting into your computer, stop using ICQ and go to AIM or MSN.
My MSN works fine, it hasn't played up since last year for me. AIM is good, just takes ore resources then MSN. AIM is good, to a degree. But ICXQ, if you use it, the chace of be hacked goes over 80%.

Yahoo is working for me now.

Although I hesitate to turn on ICQ, because using it always results in a crash that requires a restore to a previous date to get it running right again. It's only a matter of time.

I've tried to delete it, but it tells me that the file that does that is missing. Nice to know I'm not crazy, because snopes or somebody told me that it was only an e-rumor that ICQ had a virus....So it's not a disease, it's a disease vector:D

AIM's been having a lot of problems lately because of all the changes that AOL keeps making to it to try to prevent Trillian from accessing it. Every time they change it, though, trillian manages to update their own software to compensate, so its an ongoing thing.
I actually hope trillian wins, as long as AIM quits messing up...

Try going to "Start", "Settings", "Control Panel", then look for "Add/Remove Programs", open that, go down the list and look for ICQ, and click on remove.

If that doesn't work, you cn always turn off the ICQ Auto-start with Windows feature it has in ICQ's prefranceses. Hope that helps.
