The "how long before you slept with your spouse" thread made me realize more and more are actually meeting online.
How did you meet your S.O. and how long have you been together? Perhaps I'm looking for love in all the wrong places..

We lived in the same dorm, and met/were "set up" by a mutual "friend." I use those terms loosely because it became clear her intention was for him to be rejected so he'd come running to her for comfort and affirmation of his manly appeal. Unfortunately for her, she completely misjudged us and the potential for romance, and was delusional, ignoring all of the big, flashing signs he gave saying attraction she felt was definitely NOT mutual.

Once in awhile something reminds us of her and we laugh at the thought of her reaction to learning we're still happy together after seven and a half years and will be celebrating our third wedding anniversary Wednesday. So there, Beth!

I met my gf in a bar... We started off as friends but, after I broke up with my ex gf and after her divorce was final, we realized that there was something more there than just platonic feelings for one another. So, we decided to give it a shot.

Things are progressing quite nicely.

Back in May of 2001, I met my hubby on Yahoo! Personals. We were still married to other people at the time--I'd been separated for about eight months and my hubby's ex was saving up money so she could move in with the guy she'd been cheating with. At first our communication involved swapping cheating almost-ex stories, but we found that there was quite a bit of chemistry/attraction between us. We met in high school. He was from another town, but we had a lot of friends in common. My best friend was dating his best friend. They broke up after two years, but we've been together for a decade, now.

I rented a house across the street from his parents house, and he was newly divorced with a young child. He spent alot of time at his parents house and we became friends. He even tried setting me up with some of his friends cause he was trying to find me the "right" guy. About two years into our friendship we just suddenly kissed one night and it was electric. We had sex two days later, got married 6 months after that, and have been together for 21 years.

We had met in the Chat a few times and I liked him but it wasn't until we met at an event that we clicked and the last few years have been good and he had helped me though some stuff that I don't know what I would have done if he hadn't have been there to support me.
