Houston, Tx Rollcall

Whoo Hoooo! Mike's back. We had a little get-together in San Antonio last weekend. That was fun. We're planning a big Texas gathering in the Spring in Gruene.

The kiddos around here want to meet up at Jillian's sometime before then, but we seem to have misplaced the ringleader of that outing, none other than Texan himself. We'll see about getting that one back on track. (the party, not the poster *grin*)

That figures

All the happy birthdays floating around and I missed mine....just my luck!

Hey, it's a great weekend to do a little shopping (food, clothes, holiday, jewelry, housewares, etc) at the Nutcracker Market. There are all kinds of great gifts to give. I might even give one or two to someone besides myself!

What is everyone else doing this weekend?

*waves hello* I got called in to work overtime all day today, so we had to scrap our plans for the Renaissance Festival, dammit. Making a quick up & back trip to Austin tomorrow, which will be about it. Hope everyone else has fun.

Gift cards

Don't you love it we people take a gift certificate good anywhere(cash) and turn it into one that's only good one place?

LOL

And Someplace? The only thing I wish about you is that you were a lot closer.....

Happy Birthday!

Hey Guy! Hope you had a very pleasant b'day. DId I hear you say you're a TWIN? :D

Happy Belated Bday Texas_Guy!!! Hope you got to enjoy it some.

Howdy Texas friends (Houstonians - and surrounding areas!).

Let me know if that Jillians thing ever gets planned. I can't do the planning - but I'll see if it can't be fit into my busy schedule.

Someplace - things are better at home - 5 weeks of counselling and we can talk and all that now. Guess I'll stay married afterall - I'll just keep on with the "Secret" Kate part of my life as well though!

Everyone enjoy the gloomy day as much as you can!!!:D

I've got a hammer and a cordless drill. Who else has supplies to build an ark?

LOL got cordless saw and drill/screwdriver.....

I'm stopping by to see if anyone has floated away yet tonight. They told us to go home at 4:00 this afternoon. My 40 min busride turned into a 3 hour adventure. It was BAD out there folks! I am so glad to be home and dry. I keep losing my connection though, so I'll say G'night all -- and go watch some football. *smoochies to my Houston crowd*

And KATE -- I'm glad you've been able to work things out. I hope it all continues on a peaceful path!

Here and accounted for! We left an hour early from work too - but my drive home was only about an hour and a half. Hubby was a good neighbor though and not only rescued a lady and her son in our neighborhood - but also drove to our old neighborhood to get my best friends' daughters from school to home. I use to live in Meadows where the elementary school was hit by a tornado yesterday - luckily no kids or teachers were hurt. Just a lot of damage - school playground equipment is in all the surrounding home's yards! YIKES!

Luckily though everyone I know made it home safe and sound!

I am glad to see that everyone is ok after yesterday's storms. I am far away in DFW area but when I saw all the mess on tv I immediately thought about all of you!

Fine here. And my puter's fine. Takes more than a little sunshower to get rid of me lol! :p

The lights were all still out at Hardy and 1960 tonight. I imagine that "dip" was probably completely overflowing with water -- all 20-someodd feet of it.

I found it amazing that with all the bad flooding -- and all the rescues (did anyone see the daycare center kids being taken out by boat on the news?) -- not ONE person was injured or killed last night. I think that says a lot! Good on our emergency and rescue services!
