From an article in today's Washington Post Online.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the incredible fascination we in the DC area have with Hot Panda Sex, you should know that it's gone back a long way - to Ling-Ling and Xhing-Xhing. Local news stations would camp out at the National Zoo when it was mating season, just waiting to hear word of Impending Panda Pregnancy.

Unfortunately, it never worked out. So we, and the Chinese, are trying again.

My favorite portion from the article:

"After 15 months of playful romping with Mei Xiang, Tian Tian made his move Sunday morning. As recounted by zoo officials, the 265-pound male giant panda jumped the 205-pound female without warning, bit her, pinned her down and tried to mate with her.

Mei Xiang squealed and resisted -- and got away as soon as she could. She climbed her favorite tree to escape and stayed there for most of the next 36 hours, coming down only to eat nervously and huddle in a rock grotto to get out of the rain."

This sounds too much like my past love life. :(

Jazzy,

So are you trying to say you jump on a woman and bite her ... then she runs off to climb a tree ?! :) :p

It was the whole "eating nervously and huddling in a rock grotto" thing that just got me.

The whole article really is kind of priceless! It's written really, really well - somewhat tongue in cheek, but with some actual information about something that means almost nothing to those outside of the DC area, but for some reason, a lot to us.

Now..about that teasing <pounce!>
