Basra, a huge city of about two million people, has been without water and electricity for over three days now. It faces a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions: death and disease on a massive scale. Already people are starting to drink from the river, polluted by sewage, which will cause a massive outbreak of cholera. The blame for this may be laid squarely upon Bush and his gang of mass murderers and war criminals. Now the British troops ringing the city are about to make things much worse by attacking, and trying to take the city. War and famine will be added to death and pestilence.

More Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, anyone?

Don't forget to mention Hussein's paramilitary troops running around shooting civilians.

And mortaring them (civilians).

And those horrid imperialistic Brits taking out the mortars of the peace loving "Fedayaeen Saddam" who were merely trying to maintain good socialist order by committing mass murder

Get a grip Red

No utilities targeted by the Coalition, so.......

It must be those same fucks that are dressing in US uniforms, accepting Iraqi army surrenders, and executing the officers. They're also mortaring the civilians, who at this present time are in full rebellion against the Sodamn Insane SS. American and Brits are in the city taking out mortar pits and organizing the Shi'ite rebellion.
Your worse nightmare, RedRag. :D

Of course this will be all twisted around by Al Jazeira.

Al-Jazeer is the media wing of Al-Qaeda & Hamas. I remember in Afghanistan when the Al-Jazeer transmitter station took a cruise missle.

Reports are that civilains are rebeling against the Fedyaeen. Good luck to them!! The fedyaeen has been taking civilians, women and children, and using them as human shields. Nice bunch of folks, huh Red?

People like Red

are not actually interested in the truth if it doesn't support their agenda. Ever notice that?

Emerald eyed

You mean you're actually naive enough to believe that CNN war propaganda? Besides, the article says "British commanders say" there's a revolt underway. Gosh golly gee, they have no vested interest in saying that, do they? Iraq denies it, and the U.S. says it's not sure.

You'll have to do better than that.

So do you run out in your front yard and do a little happy dance everytime one of our soldiers is killed?

Oh, and only a complete idiot believes CNN is a propaganda arm for the Bush administration. LMFAO

Only a complete idiot doesn't realize that CNN is a propaganda arm of the Bush regime.

Redwave...That comment shows how little you really know. CNN is fairly objective, but if they lean any direction it is to the left. If you said Fox took a conservative approach I might agree with you, but not CNN.

I'm not sure I would label CNN as liberal exactly. I'm a centrist and don't really see them leaning one way or the other. They do of course run liberal-biased stories as well as conservative-biased stories.

Dan Rather...I mean CBS is definitely liberal though.

I don't see CNN as conservative at all, I would settle for close to middle of the road. Watching it yesterday for a while you would've thought it was the end of the world. They just portrayed one gloomy thing after another. And I'm not saying there wasn't bad news, but they just sat and dwelled and dwelled on it, lots of stories about the POW's. I just got the feeling they were trying to portray this war as not going good and overreacting. Maybe just me, that's how I saw it.

Stick with Fox for the upbeat stories

CNN is not left or right by what they report that I agree with Bob and Gunneron.

what I do find the leftward {not leiberal or leftist} about CNN is what they leave out of the the reporting. I comparing it to lying by not telling the details about something you did that was wrong, but merely the final outcome

How 'bout trying else where for a different perspective of the news? CBC - Canada - has been giving excellent coverage - without the constant "imbedded" media's help. All of you should check it out. Its amazing how 2 people can see the same thing and come up with a different story.
