I'm under the impression that most of the ladies here on Lit are only interested in cyber...am I wrong?

The woman from the old MSN chat room I dated, long distance, for 2 years. We lived 800 miles apart. We managed to get together for a few days every 3 or so months. She was a really good woman but she was 29 years younger than me. The 2 that I met on ICQ turned out to be real losers. The best one that I met was thru the On Line Dating Service. I married her 2 years ago. We are very happily married. I can honestly say that dating on the internet was a very rewarding experience for me.

Yes, you are wrong! You have to remember one thing here... It's scary for us women to "hook up" with you guys... You hear all over the news about women disappearing, never to be heard from again. You never hear that some guy has... I'd like to think that we're just being cautious!

And yes, once... and will again if everything works out right...

I have met woman on the net and built a relationship with them to the point that we did meet in person and we engaged in consentual sex together. Let's face it, there are both men and woman out there who are lonely or neglected and they are looking for someone to love them. I have had sex with 5 different woman I have met on the net and I only ever intended to meet one woman to have a relationship with. The key to it is a lot, I mean A LOT of emailing and talking back an forth, it is cyber dating.

Saxetman is right.

It takes a lot of effort to get to know someone on line. There is a lot of e-mailing and online conversations required to get to know someone really well on the internet. Cyber dating isn't all that difficult or that dangerous. When you get to know someone on line you get to know them from the inside out, unlike when you meet someone face to face and you get to know them from the outside in. It is highly unlikely that any person can disguise there real selves while writing letters and chatting online. No one can keep up with a charade in their letters and online conversations over a long period of time. Any adult with some common sense can see thru a faker over a period of time here on line. It does take some patiences because of delays in e-mail and periodic delays in chat servers.
The really cool thing about cyber dating is, if you don't exchange pictures before you get to know each other really well, you don't have any of the preconceived ideas about a person based on their looks, size, color of hair, etc. You only have the knowlege of what you have read, which that person has written, and that comes from their heart (all writing comes from the heart).

None of the women that I met here on line, and dated, ever answered ads placed by men. All of the ones that used ads placed their own ads and then sorted out the answers that they received. Most of the answers that were received were discarded without an answer because they were from weirdos that were seking only sex, as described in their replies, and not a relationship.
I think the reason that they did not reply to ads placed by men is because of the old double standard that still exists in many peoples minds, and that is that women should not ask guys for dates. Women should sit at home and wait for the guy to call. I don't agree with this, but I know that there are a lot of women that, deep inside, still think this way.
