Holocaust Tour

I don't need to read it again. I said exactly what I meant to say. The whole Phelps family is an "in your face" attention seeking group and when they're in your face, I don't think you'll consider it just a distraction.

Would I also condemn Paladino? Are you trying to twist what I say into something you can exploit? I know first hand about Phelps. Paladino isn't in my face. He's not even in my state while Phelps is. Just because I haven't said I'd condemn Paladino, that doesn't mean I don't see him as just another homophobe. Unfortunately, the world is full of them. We will never be rid of them, no matter how much we try. If you live in New York, at least you can vote against him. There's very little I can do about him, here in the mid-west.

Say, if you know more about him, why don't you complain about Paladino and I'll complain about Phelps. Sound like a deal?
I didn't ask if you condemn Paladino. I asked if you condemn his remarks in the speech to which I linked. That's a very straightforward question, with a simple response. Yes or no.

You don't have to know him "first hand", or live in NY, to decide. All you have to do is watch the video, or read the transcript I posted.

It's my bad. I told him privately that you are really Michael Steele.

I condemn the state of New York and suggest we sell it to the Chinese.

Paladino can go suck a dick. He'll never win NYC, but unfortunately, we can't really count on the rest of the state to not be a hot bed of social-conservative, suburban, mini-mansion bullshit (ala Staten/Long island -- which are really more spiritually alligned with NJ anyway).

Yuck.

You did ask if I'd condemn his remarks in that speech, but that wasn't much of a link to make a choice on a man I otherwise knew nothing about. So, I went youtubing for more information.

What I saw there was a lot of stumping by a guy looking for votes. He obviously thinks saying those things will get him the votes. Paladino is taking advantage of Cuomo's walking in a gay pride parade. I wonder if he totally believes everything he says, but sees an opportunity to get votes.

I said I don't know much about the man and I still don't. I do know about Phelps, first hand. But, I see similar rhetoric coming from both men, so from someone on the outside looking in, I'd say he's just another homophobe like Phelps.

Phelps breeds his own believers. As a man, in the little that I know of Paladino, I don't think he is as bad as Phelps, but he's in the same vein.

The Phelps tactics are vile, no question. But I actually think people like Paladino are more dangerous.

I found parts of Long Island to be spiritually and politically aligned with west central Texas. YMMV

Well, if he gets elected, maybe we'll see. But, he has to get elected first, and unless he has something more substantial than the gay bashing thing going for him, I wouldn't vote for him.
