According to the local news at www.kfoxtv.com they've started with the mandatory evacuations of parts of El Paso. What's going on where you are at? Are you guys in any danger of being washed out?

I don't htink so. D's on duty tonight so he'd be the first in his unit to know.

Nope, according to they're map it looks like it's mostly just along the riverside. Apperntly the normal depth for the Rio Grande is like a foot deep....it's up to 9 last I heard.....we're up a bits so we're good :nana:

Cool, I was wondering as a lot of the flooding is coming from runoff from those hills to the North of you.

Everything seems to be settling down. I think they're still evacuating some of the southern area because of the dams in Juarez. But it didn't really rain lastnight. It might rain today, but for the most part it seems that the storm is die-ing (couldn't figure out how to spell it) out. I'm hoping it doesn't get as hot as they say it will today...up to 85 and with the clouds still up and the humidity it would make for a very nasty, muggy, why-the-fuck-can't-they-get-rid-of-the-stupid-nudity-and-indecency-laws, fucking god-awful hot day. D basically has a 3day weekend, he was on 24hr shift yesterday so he gets today and the normal weekend off :nana:

Yay, I have Saturday and Sunday off but I have to take my truck in to the shop. Darn thing has developed an exhaust leak.
