I've tried posting some funny or outstanding pictures (example, Naomi Campbell's naked pussy, Bush twins wrestling, etc.) on the site several times but to no avail. What must I do to post a picture or image here?
AND WHY CAN'T I DELETE THE THREAD WHEN I HIT THE DELETE BUTTON?

hope this help's.

1. type in text for post.
2. go to browse at botom of dialog box.
3. choose jpg you want (in this case a file called "A5" for me in the "My Briefcase" folder) and click the open option.
4. click submit reply.

the above is not a piss take and I guess you've already tried that but I thought I'd repeat the obvious just in case.:D

The only other thing to remember is to keep the image at 800*600 or less.

Guy,

I had the same problem...I do everything right but no picture shows up.

There is a glitch in the software...if you hit preview it deletes the picture. Try to post them again but do not preview it first.

Also, they must be less than 104K I think. It shows the exact limit in the post reply box in the lower left corner.

Click on properties of the pic and if it is over 104K then size it down until the file size is below 104K.

I use "ACDSee 32" picture viewer and that tells you the size of the pic and the amount of "K" to.

It's set up so only moderators, and Laurel and Manu can delete threads and posts on the BB, due to a person deleting a whole thread way back, just because he wasn't happy with what were being said in it.

Well, that's nice.
Maybe the "delete" option should be deleted since I'm not able to delete my own thread. It keeps coming back saying, "YOU ARE NOT LOGGED IN". How strange! I could swear that I am always logged in,

Guy I hope you can fix this soon and join the fun on the "post a pic add a caption" thread, we need you;)

OUTSIDER...I'm trying patiently to figure this new stuff out. Otherwise, I'm feeling like the "outsider". LOL

This may sound like a stupid question but where are you trying to post your pic from, all the one's I've posted are one's I had on my hard drive, either in "My document's" or "My briefcase".

I was trying to post the Bush Twins BarRoom Wrestling from consumptionjunction.com.
But I'll have to deal with it tomorrow morning because I'm off to work now.

Hotlinking a picture uses the same IMG and /IMG tags the old format BB used. You don't have to "attach" them like you do pictures from your hard drive.

LAST QUESTION

When I've decided to post a particular picture, do I post it IMG box or the attached file box. Also, should I keep the vB Code set to normal or enhanced?
Thanking all in advanced for your assistance.

If the image you want to post is already onthe web, and not hotlink protected, use the image tags in the body of your message. You can post multiple images in one post that way.

If the image is hotlink protected, download it to you hard drive, and attach it in the file attach box. (It does not have to stay on your drive after it is attached.) You can only attach one file per message and it must be smaller than 100K (102400 bytes)

Do NOT preview a post with a file already attached. Attach the file after previewing.

I have found the Vb code mode to be less than useful, because the pop-up boxes are usually too small for the text I want formatted. Since I have some programming experience, manually typing the tags, and rembering to close all of them isn't a problem for me.
