My goal is to write 1 story a day. They are and always will be 100% true. I wish I would have taken typing in school. I think I need a proof reader. Or someone to help with the creative writing. But not change the story. I've slept with over 300 women and 200 men from Europe to all across this country. In all sorts of places. But the Fire House was always my favorite. Any Ideas would be helpful.

Impressive record. Are you sure all these people would appreciate you writing down your experiences with them online, never mind name changes? Are you sure your writing skills and memory are up to the task? There are creative writing courses online if you know where to look. As for proofreading, is English not your best language? Lots of spell and grammar checkers out there too. I'd help, but the schedule you have set is a bit beyond any volunteer editor.

First of all, the Fire House? Is that anything like the old Mine Shaft gay club in New York? (A pretty wild place in the 1970's from what I've heard.) 500 people? Impressive, in a way, but that's enough to fill all the seats in about five Amtrak coaches. Would you recognize them all if you passed them in the street now? Regarding your main question: a story a day would only be possible, I think, if they were very short, close to the 750 word minimum required here. Why would you even set a goal for like that for yourself? To write, say, 7,000 or 8,000 words usually takes me maybe three weeks if it really motivates me. More often if takes quite a bit more than that.

Not to rain on your parade, but I think this is a pretty unrealistic goal if you hope to develop a following. Writing isn't just putting words down on paper. It's arranging those words to paint pictures in the mind of the reader and that requires some thought about the fundamentals of creative writing like character selection and introduction, a believable plot, and an ending that makes sense. I do touch type about 120 words a minute and I can't write a story in a day no matter how short it is.

Contrary to what many new authors believe, the shorter the story, the more difficult it is to write. That's why Lit has the 750 word challenge. Every word has to count toward the story and every sentence has to mean something other than just words used to fill space.

A good editor will probably change your story in ways to make it a better read. How that affects the original story will depend upon how well you wrote it in the first place. I've edited several stories, and many times what the writer "sees" isn't what the reader is going to read.

If you do try this, I'd leave out anything saying the story is true. It might be, but if one of your former partners recognizes the situation they might not be happy about it since even a name change doesn't hide all the details that could be used to identify someone, especially if that someone has told another about the experience. Given many the other stories that are on this site, it's doubtful any readers will believe it's actually true anyway.

No real firehouse in many different California cities. Because I don't have to make it up as I go. Just relive what actually happened.

You seem to be referring to a number of different clubs or bars that you are using the same name for - for convenience? So you are sort of making that part up. That's okay if you wish to handle it that way.

I agree and when I submitted my stories I told the Approver to change the title or category if it fit better somewhere else. It's very easy to write if it's from your memory. I have changed the name and don't think any of them will have a problem with the story being out there.

I don't like bars. Never been to a sex club. I worked in the Fire Service for 38 years

Okay, then just write them and don't have any "disclaimer" at the top about the truthfulness or lack of same in the story. Just present it. The reason I gave my opinion about the difficulty of one story per day is that - I think - you'd be putting a lot of necessary pressure on yourself. But if you wish to give it a try, then go ahead. Let us know how it's going.

By the way, at that rate, you'd run out of true stories around the end of next year and then you'd have to think of something else anyway.

Yeah, the only way you're going to bang out a story a day is to do 750 word vignettes, particularly if you've never written much before.

Why are you asking for ideas though? I thought you had at least 500 different scenarios (probably not that different, thinking about it).

Don't waste time here, you need to be writing.

One story every day? Please elaborate on this. How many words per story? How do you plan to release them? Daily, on this site, and what about when a story is rejected and needs changes?

Being retired gives me a lot of time to write. I only know one way to write. Only as i remember it. On her days off my girlfriend will do most of the typing. We get away for 1 weekend a month for sex with other Bi couple and men.

Just put in the work. I have achieved everything in life i wanted to do. I have written for a couple different sites and have maybe 40 or so saved. I know at age 61 my memory isn't as sharp as it used to be. Are there no believers out there? If it needs changes,,,,, well Ill make them. You guys crack me up. A new couple shows up and all you want to do is beat them down. Man I heard this kinda stuff in third grade, Grow up. Encouragement would be the right thing to do here guys.

Not trying to throw water on your campfire. I'm just curious about the logistics of how you'll be able to do 365 stories a year and 366 stories in a leap year. It takes between two and three days for a story to go live. If it's an ordered set of stories with the same MCs, then there is a lot of potential for having them out of order. I'm asking questions, not making judgments.

You don't need our permission to do this. Start posting your stories and don't listen to what anyone else says.

Nobody is trying to beat you down. It is you who barged in and started bragging about your incredible sexual experiences, how all of the fiction sucks and only true stories count. On top of that, all of that was said in the not-exactly-the-most impressive display of English language, and that is coming from a non-native speaker.

Anyway, to get on topic. You can certainly write one story per day if you keep them short (around 1k words). 3-4 K words per day are doable, assuming you are willing to commit a lot of time, but only if you have the plot and scenes worked out in your head already. It all depends on how fast you are able to write, and that varies a lot from person to person. Give it a go and just start writing and you will have your answer soon enough. Good luck.

I wasn't going to respond any further, but - you just got here, you asked for advice, we tried to give some, a few of the things you said were a bit off (like you were in the Fire Service after all) - so please don't complain about us on the first day.

I just send them in and they will get posted when they get posted. Good god guys. A 1,00 word story is nothing more than 2 cups of coffee in the morning.

Like I said earlier i wrote thousands of reports. and i retired as a fire captain. Were you guys picked on as kids. No back bone, disbelief what others say.

You have a 750-word minimum on any story posted here. Keep us up to date on your progress. The first story will take the longest to go live, excluding a rejection, so be patient.
Just did 2 in the last 2 days. But I will make sure to contact you with my progress. LOL
