These are the questions I turned in. Thank you all for your help:

1. How has your life been touched by breast cancer?

2. Do you think erotic fiction has a role in the healing process for those experiencing a life-threatening illness such as cancer? If so, why?

3. If you could use your writing to remedy just one injustice, cure one disease, or fix one problem, what would it be and why?

4. Do you believe those in the public eye, such as authors, have a responsibility to increase awareness of social issues and/or causes?

5. Give me three words that best summarize your experience as a Coming Together participant.

Interesting - I'd leave out # 3 and #5 though and go for something a bit more certain. Much luck and congrats and wish you the best! Cancer is an important issue.

Promo? You need more.. umph to your questions at hand. Suss out the audience first - the target - ensure that your questions always go back to what you want to promote for the book. If romance is the main topic ... ask questions that a romance reader wants to know (I am not sure what those questions might be) but try things like:

What was your most romantic moment? The first romantic moment of change?
How do your RL thoughts on romance relate to the fiction you write?
Why do you feel it important to write romance in a context of the "said" cause?

(I don't have enough info from you to make an informed answer to you, sorry, Imp, I'd enjoy answering more fully).

Read your first post and got distracted by your last, Imp. You did not say the word cancer in your first post. I actually wish you would have. I think it's very important to name things. You have made good questions, though.

questions to authors about their work (and incidentally being in an awareness promo) I think should be revelatory about the author. In much the same style as the '10 second' quiz type that abound in ladymags.

Your first kiss. Your most recurrent fantasy. etc. I'm of the mind that readers might want to know more about personality rather than philosophy.
Maybe questions about their particular stories in the collection: Why did your main character have red hair? (not as ridiculous as it may seem as a question because of the depth of thought that I actually gave to hair colour in my particular story)

Perhaps a lot more work but I think it might succeed if you ask each author for an essay about their story and fit the questions according to the apparent answers.

Maybe that's too deep and time consuming.

I agree with you, gauche, to a certain extent. The depth you advocate is out of my reach for the time required and the venue offered. And, every author interview out there is cut from that cloth. I want to set us apart.

No Imp, he is not harsh at all. Having known many cancer survivors, including my mother, I think this is a question that does need to be answered. (Look at my story.)

My story wasn;t considered for reasons I understand, and yet it does answer some questions.

I'll give you a case in point. Several years ago I dealt with a Breast Cancer Patient. She had a double Radical Mastectomy. Yes she lost both breasts. She asked me afterwards, (about six months after the surgery) if I thought she was still sexy. She asked this while standing in front of me completely nude.

Yes Imp. She was still sexy. She had scars, hell she had indentations where her breasts had been. Yet she had the courage and the strength to stand in front of me, a male, in the nude and ask this question. This alone made her sexy.

It is not the body, but the surviving and the remaining feeling of sexiness that are important.

I would follow the theme already laid out by that very good promo.

Have at least one question dealing with:

1. Serious, about breast cancer.
2. Something erotic, sexy, sensual.
3. Humour.

By 3 what I mean is the promo kept me upbeat when I got a laff from a title something about "tree-hugging" and it seemed to make it all a package.
